Is it weird that I love this game, yet find it overpraised by the media?
I don't give a crap what resolution the game plays at, as long as it runs consistently at ALL times.
Some console gamers here need to stop pretending they're PC elitists all of a sudden.
if you didn't buy a PC last gen, when most games were brownish and sub-720p, don't give me all that "ew, 900p in 2016" crap now. What's next? Claiming it's the developers' fault?
So either get a PC already, or sto...
@JunMei
It actually sold decently on Wii, and pretty well on Wii U. No reason why they shouldn't release more of these on home consoles.
Heck, I wouldn't mind an up-res'd Monster Hunter 4 or Generations on current gen hardware. It worked with MH3U.
Personally, I much prefer playing MH on the big screen, so I've held back on buying the 3DS versions in hope they'll someday listen to fans like me...
Not a trilogy (or is it?). Neither are GTA, Uncharted, Batman and Metal Gear Solid.
I love me some Metroid Prime and Mass Effect!
^ This guy gets it.
Maybe he wants to sell his 360, or give it to his couple/cousin/sibling. Maybe he finds it more convenient having all his Xbox games playable in a single console. He might not have his 360 at hand anymore for all we know.
Point is, some people are okay with playing their games in older consoles. I, for example, don't rush to double dip for every remaster that releases, because I don't feel the need to, and would rather spend that money on games that I haven't pl...
Cheers, Kojima-san!
Ahh, the wonders of personal opinion! Right, EDMIX?
How about allowing the guy to play the games he already owns AND also have the remasters made for those who want them? Crazy, I know!
And yet, here you are.
Yup. But now Sony's on board too, so it's alright, you know?/s
Let the disagrees speak for themselves. There's a lot more people here that would rather defend this just for the sake of defending a brand.
In the end, gamers vote with their wallets, so let them throw away their money away for something they used to critisize (a lot) last gen.
@JamesBroski
I've been doing the same for about a year now. Don't regret it one bit.
If anything, they should also keep A basic 500gb (or less, even) model and add external hard drive support for all models.
Nay, most companies chose to go for the PS1 because of the N64's cartridge limitations, the rest just followed the console with the bigger install base, very much like what's going on right now with Monster Hunter on 3DS.
Neither of the games I listed would have been fully realized on the N64 except for Mega Man, though they would have had to remove the FMV sequences from it.
@Shinox
To my knowledge, Capcom is free to release Monster Hunter in whatever platform they desire, it just sells like crazy on 3DS, whereas Fatal Frame is owned by Nintendo.
I really don't see your point. Neither is a paid exclusive.
EDIT: Jesus, you're loud. I can almost hear the rage in that comment.
You must be pretty young, since you ignore how many franchises moved away from Nintendo once the PS1 came out. Fan f...
You didn't watch the reveal gameplay, did you?
They are making each version separately. PS4 (and NX, I guess) version is being built on Unreal Engine 4, I believe, while the 3DS version is being developed by a different team, though it looks pretty good nonetheless.
@Otaku
Is that right? Odd. Projects like this one usually need separate teams. Thanks for clarifying, though!
Did you actually beat Arc Rise Fantasia? I remember watching a couple of video reviews and being put off by the voice acting alone lol
Also, I'm curious to know at which point did you think Xenoblade fell apart, if you don't mind me asking.
Though about 80% of those Vita RPGs are PS4, PS3 or even PS2 ports (if you count P4G).
It's a great system, but it doesn't really do a good job at attracting RPG gamers who already own other PlayStation platforms.
That's part of the reason why the 3DS was so successful. It has a crap-ton of exclusive games, specially in the RPG department.
EDIT: Again, I didn't say it's not a RPG machine, I just said they're &qu...
Yeah, I guess no 2 games can be reviewed the same way.
In addition to your comment, there's also some qualities a game should (or shouldn't) have based on its genre alone. Like "is this horror game actually scary?", "does this RPG require grinding?" Or "does this MP game have enough content to keep players interested?".
I don't know. Neither The Witcher 3 nor DA: Inquisition managed to run at a steady 1080p/30fps on PS4, and those are from bigger studios.
I want this game badly, so let us hope they don't screw us over a little boost in resolution to "please" resolution airheads.
