Agreed, nothing too exciting. I would give it a C- grade. The only highlights would be Forza Horizon 4 and continued backwards support plus Game Pass.

One day we will find out who exactly owns the IP but Microsoft now owns Obsidian so I expect more future titles from the that are exciting to play.
Doesn't benefit? They will own the IP and make the money. Viewing everything in hardware sales is very narrow. This will also no doubt help them with Game Pass.

It would be nice if we ever got away from the platform wars and most could see all games as just games, not I love my system therefore I hate their game or wont give their game a chance now that it's on another platform.

They have 500 people working on it, that is a lot of salaries to pay. What happens if they stop collecting, they just stop development? If that's the case then it is indeed a scam.

It's nice to see no matter what Microsoft does you will not support them. The attitude should be let's hope these companies are able to be better off having financial stability instead of lowering ourselves into console war mentality. Nothing at all suggests these studios will be handicapped. They will continue to be free to make the games they want to make, only now with more financial support and access to better development tools.
