"At least Microsoft has dedicated servers so it feels like a little bit less of a ripoff. "
Are you joking me? PSN has always had dedicated servers for most of its 1st party games. For what ever reason this seems to be something new to xbox gamers even though they have been paying for xbox live since 2002.
@otherZinc:
You know. Whether you are right or is not really the question right now. But judging by your comment, you have completely forgotten the fact that the PS4 will have the bigger install base and Infamous is comming out much quicker than Titanfall. But who knows. Next year will be interesting once both consoles become available for purchase at all times.
@amnalehu:
lol It better, Or this would be a whole different conversation
@Lucifun:
To be honest with you. I had my PS2 vertical the entire generation with no issues, and the same with my PS3. Its convenient for me to have that option which simply saves space.
@badz149:
" PS3 started pretty empty handed too as far as media support was concerned?"
Yes it did. But even at launch the PS3 could read the bare minimal formats MP3 and mp4 and even a few photo formats, and so did the PS vita. So what happened with the PS4? Why cant it read anything? And when has Sony ever not focused on games?? Them focusing on the gaming aspect for the PS4 is no excuse, because they've always done that.
The xbox1 is too big to be designed only to sit horizontally. That is such an inconvenience for some people. There really is no excuse for it, microsoft should have used a more versatile drive.
@SpitFireAce85:
They actually did though. Last week PS4s was available at local gamestops, but they sold out really quick. And amazon had some also, but they sold out in 30 mins.
"Is the Kinect (still) the next big thing?"
I think the hype for this thing died with the first one. Now its just living off of voice commands and gesturing with the xbox1, things that you can do with lesser cams and mics. To me, Kinect wont be a success until I see some real hardcore games being used with just the Kinect only with no controller needed for anything. When that day comes, I will give Kinect its ultimate praise.
@curtis92:
I agree with your comment 100%
@Trekster_Gamer:
I guess. But I dont think its gonna be better than The Division and Destiny.
Also here in the U.S. gamestop got a lot of them in either yesterday or today. But only the physical stores and not the online store.
This game and Tom Clancy's The Division will be the 2 best shooters of 2014.
@xPhearR3dx:
Because those are lesser awards. GOTY means a whole lot more to these developers than winning best shooter, or best platformer or what ever.
Whats even more shocking is that Metal Gear Solid V wasn't either. It really makes me wonder if someone paid off someone, just to generate even more hype for Titanfall.
@PS3n360:
I can't even see how Titanfall is gameplay focused. Its not like its doing something new. So why exactly is that game hyped up so much? who knows?
I dont care what no one says, this tops Titanfall in the graphics department.
It just goes to show you the GOTY is just a popularity contest and has absolutely nothing to do with quality. COD would win every single year if it gets nominated.
@yogaflame:
"Sony has to prepare for the onslaught of Titan Fall."
Thats what the announcement for Uncharted 4 was for. And according to rumors, Gears Of War is certain to be multiplatform this gen especially since the contract is up between MS and epic games. And if PS gamers is really that interested in Titanfall, they can still get a gaming pc for it.
I don't need to list a company, just a name.
1. Hideo Kojima
The guy pours his heart and soul into his games and make complete experiences.
@ncc-017:
For the record. Google is interested in having their own gaming console someday. So who knows. Maybe they would be interested in buying the Xbox brand. http://online.wsj.com/news/...
