I'll do that once these franchises are available on the PC platform legally:
God Of War
Twisted Metal
Gran Turismo
Little Big Planet
Uncharted
Killzone
MAG
Forza
Gears Of War
Metal Gear Solid
InFAMOUS
Once these franchises become legally available for the PC platform, then we can talk about being a PC gamer and leaving the consoles behind.
I honestly dont care for BC all that much. If the PS4 doesnt have it. Its not gonna affect my decision at all in buying one. But to be honest, I dont understand why the PS4 wont just simply use software emulation to handle PS3 PS2 and PS1 games. Sony should just hire some software emulation developers specifically for the PS4, that way, they dont have to have any extra hardware in the console driving up the cost of the console. There are plenty of developers out there that specialize in emula...
I dont want to see any blocking of used games what so ever. I dont want to see another 15 COD sequels again in one generation. (ridiculous). And I want to see a full 3 year warranty or better on both the next xbox and PS4.
Thats only half of it though. Another big problem was the soldering they both did on the CPU and GPU. For whatever reason, this generation they chose lead free soldering on those chips. Lead free soldering is just not durable enough to withstand constant heating and cooling. And this was the main culprit for the PS3's YLOD and the 360's RROD issues. The new consoles need lead soldering, not lead free because lead soldering is much more durable.
Why would someone go out and buy a console named the Xbox in the year 2013? Didn't that console come out in 2001?? Come on Microsoft. You can be more creative than this. How about this? Call it the Xbox 1080. As in, it does 1080P
"This has nothing to do with devs being compensated for their work, this is about greedy publishers wanting to maximize profits at the detriment of the consumer"
+bubbles to you. Its about time I find someone who doesnt have their head up their butt.
"I know! game devs will be compensated for their work, the horror!"
Um they were already compensated for their work.
+bubbles Okay, those are interesting points. It just really makes you think about the different circumstances in different countries.
PC for better specs. Consoles for more blockbuster games.
To everyone thats saying that the 360 has a better controller, better marketing, better online, and a cheaper price. My question is to anyone that wants to answer. Why is it that the PS3 outsells the 360 in Europe? +bubbles to anyone that answers
Because the 360 was the first console to the market this gen and was sold at a fair price. It had a whole year to showcase HD graphics vs. the PS3. And there was that myth that both consoles were the same but the PS3 was just a higher priced console. People here in the states, just got used to the 360. And then there is these little tricks that MS constantly did, such as advertising multiplatform games as if they are 360 exclusives. Over these past few years, there were always TV commercials ...
"But there's only a handful of Xbox fanboys & little to no Nintendo fanboys on this website so it won't be as funny as n4g in 2006."
Now that is an absolute bold face lie. You even forgot about the PC fanboys.
" Seriously greedy bums, screwing both gamers and game makers -- they suck, and I just can't support their BS, ever."
You know. It shouldn't be about whether or not you are supporting gamestop business practices. But it should be about "options". And by banning used games on systems, you are taking away options from gamers. Gamestop is not the only place where people buy and sell used games.
The minute something like this gets implemented, expect a billion dollar lawsuit from companies like gamestop maybe even companies from ebay, amazon and other companies that have benefited from used game sales. I expect this patent non sense to be nuked when Sony and whoever else, gets sued for unfair business practices.
"No one wants to say it but congrats to Activison for making Call of Duty the 360 and PS3 most played game."
And congrats to them for making the biggest over hyped and overrated franchise of all time.
I just simply made an obvious observation. What difference does it make whether or not the article mentions the Wii U or not?? Its a multiplatform game.
"Why bring up three consoles in your comment that have nothing at all to do with the article?"
Because the game as we know it, is on the PS3 and 360 as the article itself stated.
No WiiU version? I thought this was why Nintendo brought out this console? But anyway. Does anyone know the native resolution this game is coded in for the PS3 and 360?
Its without any question Far Cry 3. Im surprise that this is even up for debate.
Why does Nintendo fanboys always think somebody is ripping off Nintendo?? Last time I checked, Nintendo did not invent video games.
It should have been image or Top cow. They do far better art work.
