As a fan of this game.
My logic would be to play the game. Not worry about bugs as they get ironed out and if this bug happens as it takes a lengthy amount of time to pop up then it happens but so far the game has been flawless so one bug is forgivable as games do have bugs.
I would say, When the bugs impedes you from playing the game then yes, it's an issue but this one really isn't.
Anyone who programs or has some knowledge of programing would know you would need to see the source code or some kind of resource manager to prove this which would have to come from the dev or anyone with a kit or debug unit.
My assumption is this comes from an uneducated view and is actually just a bug and not a memory leak.
That said.. It took people 12 hours to find a bug and then post it as if it's a deal breaker? Gaming news is going down the tubes....

Looking at releases for the last 4 to 5 years, Sony has only had mostly only 1 big game for the holiday season as they seem to carry their exclusives over to February and March. I think they do this more and especially with new ip to give the games more focus instead of competing with all the big third party games during the xmas rush. It's actually a smart strategy imo.
