Digital can be the better deal in certain situations. Not sure about the PS4 but with the XB1 digital purchases are linked to your gamertag and your home console. It's like two copies for the price of one. I'll have multiple XB1's in my home. The living room will be my home console. So, if my nephew wants to play BF4 with me he could play in the living room while I play in my bedroom and I would have paid basically $60 for two copies.

All this talk is for nothing. Did anyone see the PS4 footage of Ghosts that IGN showed recently? Everyone is saying 1080p is the greatest but the game looks like crap. Nearly every comment on that video says the same thing. If Ghosts on the XB1 is 720p and looks the same as that PS4 footage then we have a problem. The resolution doesn't matter in this war, we need side by side comparisons to declare a winner.
If there were other games in the same genre as Ryse coming out at launch or soon after than it might end up failing. But what hack and slash game has the Xbox had recently. I think this game will fill a void in many peoples game library. For the Xbox, that is.

Most people aren't comparing Next-Gen graphics to PC graphics. They are comparing current-gen to next-gen. In NBA 2K14 the graphics leap is like going from PS2 to PS3. In Call of Duty it literally looks like they took a step backwards. And you can't say that it's a shooter so it's different. KZSF looks way better than KZ3. Ryse looks way better than DMC. I may just hold off till Project Cars comes around. Forza 5 does look amazing but it's the only racing sim on the Xbox. Forza has no direct competition. Gran Turismo or Drive Club don't count as they are on Sony's console. We need another racing sim just like we need 2K to make football games again.
This cannot be the final build. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare on the PS3 looks better than this crap. I paused the video a few times to look at how pretty it looks, big mistake. Everyone bashing the XB1 because of rumors that some games are only 720p don't have all the facts. I don't either but I'm claiming it to be the most powerful console. For all we know the games may run at 720p but the AA may be ridiculously good. If that's the case, then resolution may have little impact on image quality.
For me, I think because the graphics are so good in BF4, it tricks me int thinking its a real dog. That's not a shot at CoD...or is it? Lol
You're right and many people complaining about this had no problem with the dogs in CoD MP. I did have a problem with it and that's why I never equipped them as a kill streak. I also hated every time I had to kill one. It's like the No Russian level in MW2. I had to do it to continue through the game but I tried my hardest to shoot as few people as possible. The first time through I practically closed my eyes through the whole thing.

Many people can watch a movie where several people get brutally murdered (Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, Rambo, Die Hard, basically any action movie) but find it hard to watch an animal get hurt let alone killed. Animals are defenseless and that's why people take issue with it. Yes, the dog here is trained to kill but not by it's own free will. People trained it to act that way and that's another reason why it's difficult to watch an animal get hurt.
Their wallet is what got them into the game and through the first generation. Then they used their wallet again to secure exclusives and timed exclusives with the 360. They continue to use it into this next generation but I wonder how much more can they continue to do this. Especially if they had to fight a war on two fronts.

1. Many XB1 owners will probably sell their consoles and disc based games. They will have to eat the cost of any digital games. They will most likely buy a PS4 with that money.
2. If original policies are reimplemented, any estimated sales will decrease dramatically.

Seriously though, I love the neon green for the system box and for the game cases. But it doesn't really matter much because I'm going digital this gen and for the discs I do buy, they'll go in a CD case while the boxes go in the attic.
