Crunch time doesn't necessarily mean that they poorly planned the development of the game. Games are never done months in advance. Games are done and ready to ship about a week before launch. So, crouch time can just mean the last few weeks before launch. In this time of they are working extra hours it may be because they are done with what they knew they had time to accompany and now they are just trying to add some extra stuff.

This is exactly the reason why I believe XB1 will outsell PS4. The XB1 has features for the non-gamer. PS4 no longer has the allure of a Blu-Ray player like the PS3 did, which is the reason why a lot of people picked up a PS3. MS has an ecosystem that expands past the realm of games. Sony has TV's and other electronics but it's ecosystem cannot compare. XB1 is not exactly an all in one device like its name suggests it is more like a Hub that connects everything.
Now I'...

These game companies or developers, whoever it is up to, should use the movie model for Blu-ray Disc. The movie is $30 but if you want the digital copy and DVD it is $35. Maybe, if we wanted digital and the disc we would pay $70. Disc only? $60 Digital only? $50

The Xbox 360 had a warning as well before the RROD. It would shutdown completely and would take a few minutes to turn back on. The problem was some solder points were melting and some part (forgot which) was loosing its connection and then RROD. Overheating happens, you just need to be aware of it and remedy the situation ASAP. Hopefully the solder points in both consoles are good.

Exactly, that scene on the train before the Jodie notices the police. Why couldn't we do more with Aiden then just wake Jodie up. Maybe we could have locked the doors or shut the lights. Any choice would have been great but instead we were forced to wake her up. The next scene wouldn't play unless you did so. Aiden could only possess people if they were glowing orange or choke them if red. Come on, QD! I know your better than that.

Goldeneye was awesome. I was amazed at how the enemies reacted to getting shot in the leg, arm, chest. The sound of the guns were unbelievable and the sound of the bullets hitting flesh was just crazy. Goldeneye made me feel like I was actually James Bond.
As far as the evolution of FPS games is concerned, I do t think there is much more to change regarding the story lines. They are basically all action movies. What needs changing is the gameplay. They are all essentially wack-a-...

It is an excellent movie but an OK game. QD could have given the player a little more control of the story. Maybe it was that the game was broken up into scrambled scenes. Some scenes QD had you say or do one thing and then it was back to the timeline and another loading screen. Don't get me wrong, if I were to review this game it would get 4 out of 5 stars but only because the storyline, graphics, audio, and soundtrack were so great. The gameplay is what kept it from a perfect scor...

I don't care what game they are working on. As soon as they release it, whatever it is, I will be buying the PS4 bundle. I'm going with the XB1 out of the gate but ND was the reason I bought a PS3. Thank You ND for Uncharted otherwise I may not have known the pleasures of playing such wonderful games as The Last of Us, Uncharted 1-3, God of War series, Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls, Journey, etc.

I do want to make a point here. MS is getting my money first solely f...

I don't understand how people are so focused on 1080p/60fps. Anything can run that resolution and frame rate. It's just a matter of how much stuff you can put in the game before those numbers take a dip. A prime example is CoD. They have been hitting the 1080p/60fps mark for a while now but their graphics are not the greatest. Hopefully, MS devs are putting so much into the game that they need to aim lower resolution and frame rate. Maybe Sony devs are putting more stuff in and st...

@LordDhampire

So people aren't allowed to post negative reviews if they don't like something. Googbye game journalists. Unless you have something positive to say keep your mouth shut. If you buy a video game don't ever think about posting a comment about it unless it is glowing with praise. Don't like a game, too bad. Whisper what you think about it to yourself and don't even dare to tell your friends or post it on a forum. I guess your telling me th...

If he was in their store, then fine. Kick him out, refund his preorder, and refuse his membership. However, he was not in their store and he was not speaking to their representatives. Even if he was speaking to them, over twitter, they should have stopped conversing with him all together or at least warned him of the repercussions. Instead, they added fuel to the fire by calling him out on his tweets to a friend when he was in fact apologizing for his behavior. This behavior on the part o...

That robot looks like the one from Gears of War but here it looks like you have some control over what it does. It doesn't look like just another NPC as it did in Gears. This Killzone reminds me of how I felt when I saw the trailer for Killzone 2. Killzone 2 looked nothing like the trailer (it was all CGI) and I felt disappointed and let down by Sony. I'm not getting a PS4 right away but when I do I hope that it lives up to the hype because I do like the KZ storyline.

You don't judge a console by its launch titles but those games are a good indication of where they want to go. Resistance was phenomenal looking and probably the best game in the series. It also had, I believe, 40 player multiplayer which is amazing to this day for consoles. The PS3 went on to produce MAG which had 256 players for multiplayer. The game didn't do well sales wise but you could see that they were trying to introduce a new type of large scale multiplayer. Xbox has had g...

The story was like a good thriller movie. For me, it is not one of those movies I can watch over and over again. I liked the layout of the scenes although sometimes it got a little confusing as to where exactly I was on the timeline. The actual gameplay was extremely limited. My favorite gameplay moments were the fighting or evading scenes. I wanted more of that type of gameplay. Too much of the game felt like a point and click adventure. With that said, if I were to reviewing this gam...

Bad Company single player was great but I didn't care for the multiplayer. I loved BF3 multiplayer but hated the campaign. The DLC for BF3 was pretty good but nothing I felt like I needed to have. DICE has my money for BF4 and Premium but if they continue down the same path as CoD then I'm moving on to something else. Maybe I'm just getting tired of military shooters. Hopefully Titanfall is as great as they say it is or maybe Destiny will take over the top spot for FPS.

I had every Call of Duty since the very first one and I wasn't a fan of BF until Bf3. Although, I loved modern combat. But This article is obviously written by a CoD fanboy. While there are some problems with Battlefield and its servers, it is still a great game as well as CoD. No vehicles makes CoD better? Small maps make it better? Battlefield has small maps with no vehicles at all. However, CoD has the potential for vehicles on every map. And walk for 10 minutes only to get killed an...

Sony is not a fault for doing anything wrong but they are morally wrong for endorsing the problem by not using another manufacturing company. However, you are correct in saying that many other companies have the same practices. This is why something needs to be done. It is not any easy fix by any means. In college, I did a paper on Walmart and it's connection to slave labor in China. Many of the items Walmart sells is made from some form of slave labor. People still shop at Walmart, I...

In my comment above I couldn't remember where I've heard this type of story before. It was about Foxconn. Thank you. That was going to drive me crazy all day.

Can't find the link but I'm pretty sure I've heard this before. Maybe it was Sony or another company in China but either way it made headlines and Sony should be aware of what is going on in their manufacturing plants. I remember Kathy Lee Gifford got into a lot of trouble because her clothing line was being manufactured by children. Why should big corporations be exempt from this? Like I said, I don't know if Sony knew or not, but this is a serious issue that has needs to b...
