I suspect most of what she wrote ended up on the cutting room floor, did people really think the kids at Epic were going to release a truly mature title.
They are far too busy appeasing their base community and yeah I enjoyed Gears 1 for a bit before the general lack sunk in.
@urwifeminder Rockstar are also British actually, well the Rockstar that makes the GTA series is anyway, in fact it's based in Scotland which is exactly where Sherlock Holmes stories were created so that could work!
My hope is it's a side scrolling metroidvania type game like Shadow Complex but with an eerie twist but I suspect it will most likely be a Kinect spinoff (yawn), I was the biggest proponent of Kinect at first but after several poor games I can't help feel cynical about it.
Yeah I'm serious, it may have something to do with the fact that by the time Sonic 3 came out I was maybe getting a bit old for kids games though (I was 17).
Also I preferred the music from the first 2 games which is prob why Starlight zone is such a fave of mine, well that and it's simplistic but fun and fast level design.

Liked the 2d Green Hill Zone hated the 3d one, in fact Green Hill is the only zone I like that's in the game so will defo be giving this a miss. Starlight Zone deserves a remake!!
I havn't enjoyed Sonic since Sonic 2 on the Megadrive (Sonic 3 really didn't have the magic of the first two for me), although SonicR was fun while it lasted.

No mention of fixing that farming place, the one where you go into the corner next to the staircase and the mobs fall off the cliff giving you 6k souls per kill (well in +1 anyway). Hope it doesn't get fixed!
There should be one more location that you meet him, just look up a guide if you can't be bothered to search.
Basically if you find him four times you get a simple puzzle to solve which leads to his final location, then some lore (ie who he is) and a possible hint at future dlc content or a future game.
Already played the game for like 60 hours and only now am I starting to scratch the surface of the combat it's so deep, awesome game.

This has less to do with Nintendo itself and more to do with the state of the Japanese economy and a strong yen. They talk alot about the euro and usa economies failing but Japan's economy was in alot of trouble before the earthquake and Nuclear disaster...
Give me a game based in 2.5d the whole time with none of the silly 3d levels (with the exception of bonus levels) and keep the beauty of Green Hill Zone but with all new zones, kill off everyone but Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Dr Robotnik and I might buy it.
Never played the original so I'm not looking at this game with nostalgic eyes as so many are doing so after playing the demo I came to the conclusion it was a poor game with horrible music, graphics and handling.

Yeah maybe the next-gen will actually deliver graphics of the quality promised in Sony's E3 videos, I've yet to see them. Yeah Killzone was great looking but seriously not even in the same league as that infamous trailer.

Agreed, although it was more a 15-20 hour game, if you rushed right through sure it was 5-7 but if you did all of the side missions and explored every nook and cranny it was a big game with excellent music, a fine story with great characters (better then Reach's) and a unique mp.

I agree with everything he said pretty much and like the sound of a Darksiders style God of War game, although I've never played a God of War game and I never intend to get a playstation product for as long as I live but still it sounds promising. One of the best games this gen tbh, it's a cruelly overlooked game. If you like Dark Souls get it, both games have weird parallels like the incredibly hard difficulty and a hub world, well that's where the similarities end but still...
Didn't know they were still releasing gamecube games! Seriously though this looks awful and yet I loved Ocarina as much as the next guy. I'm sure it will be fun (although TP was soooooooo boring) but my eyes bleed looking at gfx that shit no matter how nice the art style might be.
I liked the 2d part of the demo but the 3d part just reminded me of everything that is wrong with Sonic since (after) the megadrive days. I won't be getting it now.
Can anyone confirm if the framerate is smooth on the PS3? It's silky smooth on the 360 so far.
