8 is a good score, if i liked xbox i'd buy it on that! They gave GoW3 8 as well and that was amazing...so based on that, i'll pick it up on PC.

I can't believe someone made an article based on a random users youtube comment...It's not even logical, when a game is being played you couldn't run the other OS at the same time, therefore a reserved 8th spe, as claimed, wouldn't be needed.
Terrible comparison, KZ2 is over a year old and H:Reach/Crysis aren't even out yet. They didn't even take things like movement/animation into consideration, for example the train level in K2 looks amazing with the cloth materials blowing in the wind, shooting NPCs and having them react at the specific point of collision also makes the game look amazing. These things are unseen by screen shots and this compassion .
One more thing i would like to add to the argument - The Xbox and gamecube are not being sold anymore, but the PS2 is still on sale (games and console), this could also affect sales of the PS3 since a good number of gamers are are potentially sill playing that and see no point in moving on to the next iteration, once the PS2 is officially shut down, it COULD boost ps3 sales, just something to take into consideration. Also it is rumored that PS2 emulation will come to the PS3 when the PS2 gets...
I do agree, with the 360 having a slim chance. Taking into consideration the price(which is VERY cheap with some models, going into double figures in fact). It should have or be selling a lot more then it has/is. It could also be argued that it has sold better then it should have due to the massive RROD problem, with people having to rebuy newer consoles, until MS changed their repair policy.
Interesting, but you failed to mention a vital part, which is the price. It's arguable that the PS3s price is still extremely high and far higher then the ps1 and ps2 was after 4 years. Price drops will allow for more sales over the next 4 years and if they can sell more then 32 million, it will put them in a good position to reach that goal (over the 10 year cycle). The fact is, anything could happen we just have to wait and see.

You're making out like 100 million is not much. When it is, PS3 has been out about 3 going on to 4 years and has sold 33.5 million (as of December 31, 2009) This is coming from SONYS website and 100% official. According to you PS1 was 19+ million at this time, i'd say it's well on track, especially since it is more expensive then the ps1 was in year 3.

If you look at history the PS1 sold 100+ Million, PS2 has sold 140+ Million and is still selling. Therefore i would assume the PS3 can come close to those figures, especially when they drop the price to the wii price range and then the 360 price range. Regardless the PS3 is on track almost exactly the same as the PS1 was.
@Kurisu, agreed, what makes the critique of a website or magazine have a better opinion then gamers, who probably play longer and more games then them!
I'm wondering how no towns will affect the game, tbh i'm worried that it's going to cause a major negative. Also what are you suppose to do in the open world if there are no towns or locations to visit??

I keep seeing this game get 8 to 8.5, by DODGY websites...I think something is not right and something is going on, but i'm still going to buy GOW3 and I hope everyone else does the same, THEN we'll truly see which website are trying to dis-wade us from getting it.
I agree with nycredude, "game crashed" <<!!! the game crashed? what once? most games crash now days...I think the other "negatives" are completely nit picking and found in most other games, but never even mentioned. The part in the review, that totally made me relies how demented this reviewer is, with regards to games, is this:

360 sales will be far below ps3 sales for this game, not only are the pre-order sales this far ahead (if you believe the article), but the game has already sold 1.5 to 2 million in Japan and that was along time ago now, not sure what it's currently on.

Yes i know that, i'm not saying don't compare multi platform games. I'm saying if these website want to compare multi platform games, how about compare exclusives as well, not just multi plat.
I think most critics probably expected more from the game, it's one of the most successful franchises ever, i mean they're on 13, what other game is on 13?
With that said, i think they're being a little too harsh on it ((most critics who have reviewed it) even without actually playing it myself, yet), based on the previous games, we can guess how 13 will play out in all aspects (gfx,music,story,etc).Therefor e make our own minds up as to get it or not. I will be buying it.
I thought the xbox360 only had HDMI 1.2 (according to wiki)unlike the ps3 which has HDMI 1.3a. Isn't 1.3(a) needed to have stereoscopic 3d?
