It's an option because it HAS to be an option. (due to not everyone having a harddrive). Why are people saying it's less wear and tear on the disk and disk-drive. 1. I have never seen a disk wear out. 2. It's almost likely the disk-drive will last as long as the hard-drive.
I think the majority of gamers who do trophies/achievements, don't really like to do the online ones. Mainly because it is boring but the most important thing is, you can't do it in your own time like single player. For example, i can't finish the online ones for fifa 09, since they shut down the servers. I wish Sony would improve trophies, add some more features to it and just generally polish the trophy support up (i.e, cut online trophies off the % count).

it's ok, all PS3 consoles come with a hard drive, so a mandatory install isn't a problem. ¬¬ Dead rising started on the 360 it's common sense the xbox version would be the lead format and the PS version would be the port. 95% of the time ports are never quite as good as the lead. But almost as good when it comes to the PS3.

Even if this is real, they can't sync them online. If one day they do manage to sync them online Sony can easily determine they have cheated since every trophy has a time and date when unlocked. It goes to show you, Jail break is stupid and not worth it. I'm sticking with official updates, thanks.

Last time i checked, Activision were the ones using PSN and Xbox live for people to play and buy extra content. If Sony or Microsoft decided they don't want Activision games on their machines, Activision are the one who are going to be in trouble not the other way around.

People saying halo has better gameplay or is funner, that's your opinion just like my opinion is that killzone has better gameplay and is funner. There is no dispute over which game has better graphics (killzone).
I see nothing, other then a very blurry video, which could EASILY be faked. People saying "They are hacking the hell out of the PS3." is rubbish, no one has hacked anything major or really anything minor. Just claims from little script kiddies.
Thankfully it's on track for November 2nd and not 2 years away. Also it says they added a 24hour race, i just hope you can save it when you pit in...:/. Bet it's going to be a trophy, to complete a 24hour race.
Honestly though, what was everyone expecting? Each Playstation console PD have always delivered - the best driving game around. It took a long time and from the look of it, it was worth the wait. Any true driving/car fan will agree, GT is the greatest driving series of all time. Those weather effects are stunning. Sony just keeps on setting the bar a little higher everytime.
It looks absolutely stunning, one of the best, if not the best graphical games I have seen to date. Buying it day 1, regardless of any news or reviews.
I think both should be done. I think BC is needed, mainly because I can't see them re-master every single PS2 game there is. I also think re-mastered versions of ICO, GOW, etc is good for people who never picked them up in the past and want to see the story. (might as well play them in HD/60fps/trophies)But I really don't think gamers should have to rebuy games, they already own, for minor updates to the game.
Come back in November when it's closer to the GT5 release date, many, including myself haven't pre-ordered GT5 YET because it's still a while away. Halo is out now, therefore cannot be pre-ordered anymore, which means the PREODRER figure can't go up, GT5s figure can and will.
Isn't it a little unfair to compare sales? Halo gets a massive head start, since it's about to be released and GT5 is not out for another 2 months.

No, indeed. The animation isn't even close to uncharted 2. The character model here is too far away and you can't see a high level of detail on it. The character model doesn't even seem to get affected by water or snow unlike uncharted, Nathan actually gets wet and covered in snow.
