@article author $500mill! Where are you getting this information from? That seems alot even for M$.
I'm really curious how Microsoft are actually going to advertise Kinect. I mean, are they actually going to show "gamers" playing the big red ball game? or show Cut-scenes of games that aren't finished yet and make out like it's ingame. peww pew
Objective? I'll clarify the objective, you drive from point A to point B first one to point B wins. It's a racing game!
It's pre-alpha and looks great already. (Y)
I was hoping they wouldn't have online ones too, well, at least it's not "kill 10,000 people".
I highly disagree with the impression the article gives out. First he blames the "programming" for making the image look like it has layers...that's what stereoscopic 3d is suppose to look like, it adds depth but it's still 2d (it has NOTHING to do with programming, perhaps the perspectives set could be optimized to give a better 3d effect, that's all though). Second, he blames losing the effect, when one tilts their head. That is down to the TV not the PS3.
It's the mosttt electrifying game, in video entertainment! But it's still about a year away, unfortunately.

"who will pay more money for less functionality"
I think people would buy a games console for the games, not for functionality. Call me old skool but i like playing high quality single player games, therefore most additional functionality won't even really be used.
Also it varies from console to console, for example the 360 doesn't have Home but the Ps3 doesn't have cross game chat. Get over it.
I think this is fantastic to be bundled with the new medal of honor. How can anyone complain? this is the type of extra thing you want in a limited edition, not postcards and a boring dlc multilayer skin.
@Guntrol
You're wrong and right. Getting the Platinum on killzone 2 doesn't mean nothing, it means all that I listed. I.E, completing the game multiple times (hard too), properly playing through online,, exploring the levels, etc. It will therefore determine the player has the skill and commitment to find bugs and test out the game.
I agree it is about the feedback at the end of the day and i guess noobs stats can be used to tweak gameplay. But reporting bu...
I think the only people who should get beta are the people who got platinum in KZ2. These people are obviously the most suited to test KZ3 out, since they completed elite, played alot of online and explored alot of the game.
I got platinum, therefore did pretty much everything, except the add-ons. I'll probably try to get plat on KZ3 too, so long as there isn't "get top 1%" again.
@PSFan100 (yea me)
I just checked into it:
"Xbox 360 users need a television that supports a “side by side” 3D mode. PlayStation 3 users need a television that supports a “top-bottom” or “over-under” 3D mode. PC users need a monitor that supports Nvidia 3D Vision 3D technology."

This is what i cannot understand. They are claiming that the new COD will be stereoscopic 3D using shutter glasses. How? when the 360 has a HDMI 1.2 port, the required is 1.4 but, 1.3a (ps3) can be used. Only time will tell the truth, which will either tell us the TV companies have lied or the game company has lied(or bending the truth to make it "sound better").
720p for a PS2 game?!!! this should be 1080p. Still good value though and hopefully they will make a Splinter Cell announcement soon, too.
Why should there be more females? It should be the best person for the job, not based on your sex. I want to play games made by someone who has talent, therefore my experience playing will be better.
@likedamaster
Fair enough, if that is the case. Then the public has either been misinformed or lied to by television companies. As you all know the Xbox 360 has a HDMI 1.2 port and the PS3 has a HDMI 1.3a port. The standard set (to enable stero3d) is 1.4 but 1.3a can work too.
There are (or were) two reasons to "buy a new tv" to make 3D work, which are: a 120+ refresh rate and a HDMI port which is verson 1.4.
I had a TV that had a refresh rate ...
This article is fail. Why? because if we look at the following statement:
"Right now you could go out and buy a 3D HDTV and a copy of Batman: Arkham Asylum on the Xbox 360 and be playing in 3D"
(only true if you make the TV convert the image using 2D to 3D conversion, which is inconsistent)
We know they are telling lies or trying to smear the truth. The truth being (and many other gamers have said it) Batman was not stereoscopic 3D,it w...
It's still very expensive, if they want to sell more they need to market the product better or drop the price to a point where the casual audience can afford it. I think they've done really well, for such a high price , for soo long.
@acky1
I have to disagree with that, i think there are too many time periods left to uncover. They haven't even got to the world war 1 or 2 yet, since the game is set in the future, there should be many more time periods to see. To be fair as long as the game and engine sees the kind of improvements AC2 got over AC1 i think it's ok they make more then 3 games. (Y)
@HSx9
They are driving on pavement? Anyway, i can CLEARLY see smoke and debris from the cars. Stop trying to mislead people or if you honestly can't see it, get some glasses because it's CRYSTAL CLEAR that it's happening.
