Yeah, let's all listen to reviewers, the same people who when previewed the game started crashing into walls and driving backwards (Y)
I hate this, I hate it because the reviewer is spreading lies. It's easy to judge the graphics and that would be amongst the best in TODAYS STANDARDS 20/20, 10/10, 100/100; what ever the system it should be given top score.
We can already see for our selves how good the graphics are, through gameplay videos not to mention what it will look like on our 1080p tvs! I'm picking my copy up in a few hours, no matter what some jabroni reviewer says!
My 80bg PS3 broke down today, my original 60gb got YLOD. I'm a PS fan (hence the name) but i'm very annoyed at the moment. I won't be purchasing another ps3. I'm going to wait till the PS4 launch. I will repair the 80bg with some 60bg parts, just hope it holds out. *Sigh* just when GT5 comes out! grrr
40 mins is fine, why? because i'm going to make many sandwiches while it's installing, i'm OBVIOUSLY going to need them.
It's not innovation because it's already been done before, Kinetic can be considered only as an upgrade and not an actual innovative product. Like others above me have said it's very inconsistent, voice command is awful.
I agree, the facial expressions are the most realistic i've seen in a game; you can still tell it's a computer generated image though. Very impressive.
@hoops
1000$...that's about 600£, you're having a laugh it cost me around 1,300£ to set up 3d vision (PC from scratch)...you forget you need windows 7, decent ram/cpu, 3d enabled graphics card, 120 lcd, the actual kit itself (glasses, sync device) etc. Of course it's better on PC since you can have a 1080p experience, you just need the rig to handle it.
@Xboxfanboys < in general
The PS3 version is fine, small glitches come in most games. This is blown way out of proportion. If you want to talk about lag and an unfinished product go look at "Kinect" (Y)
I've followed johny lees work, when i was at uni. It uses head tracking to create the 3d effect and can be achieved with a single camera (no need for duel cams).
It also works for only one person as the perspective on screen adjusts itself to the one person with led perimeters. It does not require glasses, but you need to wear a head band with 2 leds attached to it. (Can be achieved on the PC or PS3, FACT)
Hitman: blood money was one of my favorite games, last gen. It was technically very impressive and the open gameplay was fantastic (i feel it was underrated in recognition). Can't wait for images to emerge (Y)
@toaster
Yeah, of course PC is/will be better, it's variable and can be upgraded (how do we know consoles won't get that feature in the future?).
Tessellation is far superior to bump/parallax mapping. I do expect future consoles to be able to handle ray casting, tessellation, 1080p, stereoscopic with a high lod; Otherwise i'd be disappointed.
There's no point in arguing. It should be PC/PS3 that way you get ALL the good games (ps3 exclusives), wit...
"Microsoft Mum explains Kinect"
WOW! Microsofts mum is pretty hot! I'd tap that.
Anyway this is more proof that Kinect is nothing more then a casual gamers device.
The whole point of beta is to report the bugs you're suppose to look for. It looks amazing! I'm very impressed with the frame rate (and it's still alpha code (Y))
Next thing they'll be reviewing PS3 games and subtlety underscoring them. 5/10 for the nav controller, why? because it lacks motion sensors? did they even take into consideration that it's not suppose to have that purpose (like the move), it's used to navigate characters on screen (and that's its main purpose, end of). 7 for the Cam, why? last time i checked it did its job, perfectly(tracking).
You don't play Kinect, you watch kinect(meaning it's not out yet). But when you eventually do get kinect, have fun playing the big red ball game. pewww pewwwww
I only agree that it's a little expensive to get a 3D TV, at the moment. The rest, I disagree. I think you've based an opinion on 3D with games that were not even designed to be in 3D and then concocted your verdict as, meh. (or " Basically, 3D is not great for gaming, at least now")
Moan, moan, moan, that's all people do about the glasses, get over it.
All i know is, as soon a 3D tvs come down in price, i will get one. Not only that but, everyone who b...
@Lyr1c
I get your point that they both play differently, but you can't deny that both of the games core element is to kill a mass amount of zombies. The enemy is the same in both games, therefore has a massive similarity. Also both have an arcade style(killing mass amounts of them), they're hardly resident evil 1, survival horror style, with limited ammo.
Story, (most of) gameplay, can be considered down to an opinion (good or bad) but I cannot agree that Dead Nation...
If you didn't like dead rising why would you like Dead Nation? The simple fact is you can do more things in DR2 it has better graphics, more weapons, online modes, story cut-scenes, co-op and probably lasts longer.
I'm still going to get Dead nation though and RDR: undead nightmare pack, i just love killing zombies
I think 7 sounds like a fair score, it is a PSN game after all, it's hardly going to have the quality to sell at 40£ in a shop or take on dead rising 2.
I've been watching Angry Joe on youtube for a while now, i think he reviews games very fairly and it's a review you can trust; as it seems untainted by advertisers. With that said, he never reviews PS3 games, why? (would like to see his opinions on them, come on, it has some of the best exclusives) if he is a gamer, he should. Geoff acted unprofessionally.
