Didnt Phil Spencer say something like resolution is not a priority for him and the company, yet they banish Kinect 2 from the system to free up more system performance and send over engineeers to multiplat devs to up resolution.

Resolution mattered last gen between 360 and PS3. Microsoft made sure their games were advertised as best version of x multiplatform game. Funny, how all of a sudden it shouldn't matter anymore with Microsoft now on the wrong side of the resolution and performance fence.

Alot of people pinning all their hopes on DX12 now. The hardware is underpowered compared to its rival.
Xbox games will improve but expecting massive graphical overhauls is foolish.

Digital Foundry and the media would pick apart the tiniest pixel difference between PS3 and Xbox 360 at every corner tech article, kinda like what's happening now. That's what Phil Spencer said and many others. Performance of DX12 will be more beneficial to PC than Xbox One.
Last gen everyone was complaining about poor environments in car games. 2D trees, sparse trackside, low detail.
Now everyone complains the environments look too good, not enough focus on the cars.
