Sadly I feel this is true. I love my wiiU but I feel this is gunna be like the dreamcast again.
Example: ps2 excitement was building like crazy in early 2000. Dreamcast needed as many big games coming out as possible just to fight off the massive hype of ps2.
Now the wiiU is slowly being killed by the hype for ps4 next week with no big games in sight.
Plus there is still Microsoft's next gen console to be revealed this year too, further sealing the wiiUs...
Ps4 will own next gen.
Just look around at all the massive hype already.
It has completely swallowed up whatever hype the wiiU managed a few months ago.
It feels just like back in 2000 when everyone was anticipating the launch of ps2.
Now Sony just needs to launch this at the right price and they will be doing a much better job then they did with ps3.
If Sony announces a launch price of $399 at e3, that would be amazing.

It almost looks as if it has a rubber case around most of it.
I actually like that cause it looks like it'll be more comfortable in the hands while giving the player a better grip.
Now it just needs some color cause right now it's a little bland.
Some color would knock it out of the park in my book.
But otherwise, I'm really loving the new look the more I see it.

WiiU is lookin pretty bad right now in the face of the impending ps4 blitz.
Ea won't allow it. It won't sell above a million copies so ea will ax the series I'm sure after the first game.

I feel like this is the sixaxis all over again.
A mild attempt to change it but reverts back to the standard ds function with the feature being rarely used or Implemented in games.
I wouldn't put much thought into the touch pad part of it.
My thoughts are Sony will go back to the same model except for a couple of slight changes such as the L and R triggers.
And ya, that prototype is fugly!! Lol
That's because Xbox isn't a games console anymore. It's a kid focused, media app, first person shooter, everything but a games console.
Ps3 an soon ps4, are the absolute best examples of a true games console.
If u want apps and movies, pick Xbox.
If u want the best games money can buy, go with Sony!
I also see a what looks like a small speaker on the controller too, kinds like the wiimote has.

I'm sorry if this sounds mean but what is wrong with the writers of these articles asking this all the time in here? Do they just want to play ps3 and 360 forever without upgrading to next gen?

I recently heard that Xbox users have to pay Microsoft to access apps like Netflix, Hulu and use the Internet browser last week. I didn't know that since I don't own an Xbox.
I'm just kinda baffled by that since most devices, basic functions like that are free to use.
I can do all that on my wiiU and ps3 and play online gaming without having to pay a seperate bill, in addition to the monthly charges of a certain service.

Then it's next gen mode for the rest of the year from Sony.
The only thing that suck about this is , once they reveal it next week, the true torture begins waiting for the actual launch.

I think Nintendo is getting a little worried about Sony's reveal next week and are doing everything they can to fight off the massive coming hype for it.
I predict Nintendo will announce a price cut for wiiU very soon as a result.
Apparently they have nothing big coming out till the fall and that's not good.
With nothing big to play all year on wiiU, sales will continue to stagnate even worse once ppl see how great the other next gen systems are.
It's funny, I hated this thing when I first saw it and now I'm loving it lol
And that new d-pad looks alot more comfortable for my thumb.
