I always here devs and publishers sayin the reason for going multi plat is to reach more customers and ultimately sell more copies of their games.
But how does that work when really, when the console market hasn't changed much since the ps2?

I know it may sound odd for a brand new state of the art console, but I kinda hope Sony makes the boot up for the ps1 again on ps4.

I believe Sony will take back America this gen with ps4 like they had with ps1 and ps2.
They've clearly seen how bad marketing can affect sales which is why they hired a new agency to promote it.
Plus they've got the attention of everyone now and excitement is getting to crazy levels.
Soon ps4 will be everywhere, mags, tv, Internet, store displays and info centers.

I think I've seen close to 20 in the past week, mostly from no names begging for hits.
We know what's happening that day. We don't need to be told or informed on a daily basis.

Kinda hard to justify buying a $350 wiiU tho since no new games have released since launch.
At least nothing big or worth mentioning.
And ps4 being unveiled soon, it's gunna be next to impossible to sell the wiiU.

I gotta agree. Simply adding a letter to a successor product from its predecessor was a big mistake.
Kinda like sega's old add ons for the genesis, 32x and sega cd, except those WERE add ons.
The only reason why Nintendo left the wii name in there is cause they thought it would help sell as well since the original wii was so popular but it backfired on them.
The wii's audience is not buying the wiiU.
