I'm strongly thinking with no extra dev cost going to making it bc and Sony not custom making the parts this time like they did with the cell, we could very well see a $350 to $399 launch price.
Instead of the $600 we saw back in 06. Hell Sony may even shock us all and show the price for the low end model at $299. If they can do that, ill know alot of happy consumers.
So aside from the bc and psn games not carrying over, everything else sounds about perfect with the ps4. Powerful hardware, lots of dev support, more robust psn features from gaikai, now just imagine the reaction from the crowd if kaz hirai announces the price of the console from $299 to $399.
I don't know why but I'm thinking they're planning on shocking the hell out of us and pricing it low like that after all the negative feedback from the ps3 launch price in an effort ...

In case u haven't noticed, they have over 40! New entertainment apps coming this year to Xbox and that sasame street game for kinect looks like GOTY material!!!

Hmmmm lets see what we have for next gen. A console with a tablet controller that most ppl think is just an add on to the wii. A new Xbox coming that is leaving behind core games in favor of movie and social apps, kinect and kid focused games, and a $60 monthly fee to play online and use all those apps. Then we have Sony coming tomorrow with ps4 an gunna give the industry a much needed kick in the pants with a ton of killer games and services and exceptional value.

I see square enix slowly moving away from traditional console games and going more mmo and online flash games in next gen. They've been doing that for awhile already and I think they will contine that unfortunately.

Exactly. Ppl talk alot of shit about them but they've been pretty accurate lately with next gen info. I'd say its at least 50/50.
I'm very curious to see if Microsoft will finally go with Blu ray for their games or will instead go with a proprietary format like Nintendo did for the wiiU.
Cause lets face it, DVDs for games simply won't cut it his gen. Unless Microsoft wants their games coming on 10 disc collection sets lol
