Obsidian was bought independently. Tango was purchased as a result of the Bethesda purchase. Big difference.
Since they never showed who the developer is I wonder if this is the People can Fly project. Leaving the Coalition to wrap up Gears 6.
Nintendos the goat. Love that they stick to their traditions and offer something different to the other big two.

That’s console/pc. If you include phones it inflates the number to 90% digital.
@darthv72
It’s not even just cost effective why the consumers shifted. It’s that digital made it extremely convenient AND MS made most games backwords compatible on Xbox.
I remembered my first digital game. I went through two copies of ES Oblivion on 360 because my kid scratched up the disk. I decided to buy it digitally and basically never went back.
Sure people look fondly back to their childhood and miss things like Blockbuster (well my childhood at least). But...

I never said everyone I know represents everyone. The fact that 72% of gaming sales were digital speaks for itself. I also don’t relish the idea that physical is going away. I’ll definitely miss game day launches and gaming stores. Yes even GameStop (or EB if you were in Canada years back). Just like I’ll miss E3. But for myself and many others I have stacks of blue ray and cds that never leave the case and are taking up space. As well as boxes and boxes of games that j...
It likely has to do with the shift in customer purchasing over the past 10 years. Even at the end of the 360 era people were starting to go digital and now it’s basically like PC. Almost everyone I know who plays Xbox buys digital. Hell I haven’t bought a blue ray or cd in a long ass time either.
Enjoyed the new games but I will NEVER play them past the first time due to long walking/boat/water buffalo/climbing/talking sections . Much prefer the original trilogy. Plus 3s opening is still the most epic, power fantasy, adrenaline filled gameplay that’s in my opinion still unmatched.
The reason why OD was not labeled as an Xbox game is because it’s a cloud powered phone game funded by MS.
It’s not that third person character action games are “bad”. It’s that’s all current Sony seems to be interested in making. I found PlayStation was way more interesting during the PS3 era. At least during that time they had multiplayer elements to their games. Now nodda.
True but the only reason I decided to play it was because of gamepass. It was not on my radar at all then seen it pop up. Gave er a download and to my surprise turned out to be amazing. Same with Amnesia the bunker.
For me it is. I literally just finished off Amnesia the bunker. Playing though Dead Space on game pass. Picked up RE4 DLC, and just bought Calisto Protocol on sale. Plus Alan Wake 2 just dropped. Not sure if ghostwire counts but ima play that after as well.
Loved the game for the first play through and I’d love to go back. I just can’t bring myself to listen to long drawn out conversations on the back of water buffalo’s and walking sections.
I’m down with the new design but why the speaker? I have a PS5 and found the feature to be pretty useless.
No he’s right. If anyone seriously thought it was going to be entire planets to explore then that’s on them. It’s simply not possible and probably will not be for a long time. And hey it never stopped Kotor or Mass effect from being great.
Uh I’m pretty sure you don’t have to buy gamepass.
It was pretty damn good but like allot of current PS games I’ll only play it once. Just thinking about going back and riding on that ox or the boat makes me cringe. First time through is fine because of the dialogue but once you know the story those long ass sections are a snore fest.
