Seeing Crysis on a top-notch PC and seeing Killzone 2 from all the video footages
out there will give the edge, in my mind, to Killzone 2. Crysis is a masterpiece in
its very own, graphics-wise for sure, but if you sum everything up Killzone 2 will
give you such a great experience in actually being in a hostile environment, in
being in a war zone! The art direction in Killzone 2 is unique for a first person
shooter.
Technically, Crysis prof...
That would be soooo awesome. I would love to program for the XMB. 8)

Since a couple of years Nvidia tries to spread its GPU architecture into the
HPC (High Performance Computing) market with its Tesla system. Despite
very useful for a lot of application, performance wise, the HPC field suffers
not from a lack of raw computing power but from a lack of power efficient
systems. And this is the Achilles' heel of all the Nvidia products.

"does all this calculations result to aaa titles"
Yes, it does and will do further down the road. :D
"(who doesnt ?)"
Me.
Full agreed.
I also hope to get one of those units (either a Cell Blade
or a Sony ZEGO BCU-100) to further develop on the Cell. For
the time being, I use Linux on a PS3 to access the Cell processor.
This game is endless. I guess, we will play LBP X in 5 years
from now. I further assume that a lot of communities (message
boards, forums, etc.) will use LBP to express some kind of
hoax against laughable situations coming the gaming industry
itself. :)
Yes!

"... Damage is HARD TO DO and you can't just "add" damage to an
existing car model."
Very true.
"It needs to be explicitly made to enable damage (like having doors as
seperate parts so they can fly off, crumple zones), so they are going to
need to build all 700 (or however many) cars from scratch again WITH
realistic damage (and you know they are perfectionists)"
Yeah, and ...
Here is a small hint on how to play on low-latency (ping)
servers within MGO;

"That isn't a connection listing that's a server host rating of Good, ..."
You've got me wrong here. Ok, I will explain it a bit more clearly. Within
MGO you have an option to 'Join Game'. After you select 'Join Game' there
is a list of servers currently hosting a game. Pressing the START button
now allows for the possibilities to apply certain filters to the server list.
One of these filters is a 'Network Quality' filter...

of course
"I don't see that much demand to switch to linux but I do see a desire to

Well, I'm playing a lot of MGO and I don't see the given topic as a real issue. Really!

The kill-cam can be disabled by the host. Watch out for games
not using the kill-cam.

That's "the" reason why we have consoles, to not waste development resources.
Where is the so-called PC-Gaming-Alliance to address that problem of all those
different PC configurations? It simply doesn't work. And if you would constrain
all the 100...
