I've heard a lot of negative stuff about this game, and not too many positive things. Maybe Ubisoft improved shtuffs before the release though...
I'd buy it for $9.99 tops.
But it's not worth more than that.

2008 doesn't define the console war.
It's only the 360's third year, which will probably be about half its lifetime. And only the Wii and PS3's second year, which probably about a third of the Wii's lifetime, and less than that for the PS3.
Also, which console wins a generation has historically been defined by hardware sales, not software sales.

That's what's going to happen in terms of hardware sales, and I'm at least 90% sure of it. If you base the numbers on what happened in 2007 as a whole, in the end of 2007, and in the software coming out for the systems in 2008 you'll agree.
PS3 has the strongest software as a whole coming out in 2008, followed by the Wii and 360 in a close race for second.

If they make a public Beta I'll buy a PS3 sooner than in the Summer/Fall.

It's actually not doing too badly.
It sold over 100,000 copies so far, and looks to be on a fairly steady 8-9 thousand per week sales rate in the US. It hasn't even come out in Europe yet. If the game sells 500,000 copies then I think all is well.

Michael Bay can be hilarious at times. It's not often you see such a high profile figure speaking without any reservations.
That said, his movies almost always suck so I don't really care what he says (even though it's mostly true).
