While I don't trust the shady magazines...I expected very little from this game. Poor results would not shock me in the least.
This fight owned if only for the nostalgia factor.
The progression of the fight was amazing though, including the music progression.
(trying not to spoil anything)
My first Metal Gear game of any kind.
It gets a 10 from me, no questions asked.
Same for me. I bought my Xbox midway through its life cycle. After owning it for less than two years, as soon as the 360 was announced I suddenly had no new games to buy. I felt completely cheated. It's the same reason why I'm hesitant to buy Nintendo products (though I do own a Wii).
It convinced me, along with the hardware problems, not to buy a 360.
How Sony has handled the PS1 and PS2 once the new systems came out is what convinced me to buy a PS3. I spe...
I'm impressed Xiphos!
I work full time, so I'm only on Act 3 my first time through.
Unbelievable game though. It's only the second game I bought for my PS3 (bought it when GTA4 came out) and it justified the expense by itself.
This is the first Metal Gear Solid game I've ever played. I have almost no idea what's going on in the plot.
...But it doesn't even matter. The cut-scenes still glass-over my eyes. The action and stealth still pull me in. To be honest, I've never played a game that seemingly required so much thought to develop.
I do wish I understood more about the storyline though! Ah well. But it's not the game's fault that I haven't owned a Sony system before.
It was always the best console. It just didn't have the best games.
But oh - the times, they are a-changing.
Firstly, I dislike WoW. I played it for a few months, and got bored of it. It's not an awful game; it's just way overhyped.
BUT this game is in no way a WoWkiller. You should see the AoC forums. People are going to be unsubscribing (including myself) in MASSES when our free month is up.
More bugs than in the rain forest.
Loading screens all the time.
Equipment is broken and does practically nothing.
ALMOST NO CONTENT after level 45.
Classe...
Possibly.
I guess they really should just delay the game and fix this, just in case.
It's fun, but it is rough around the edges.
The graphics are really good...but impossible to take advantage of. I have a brand new laptop with a pretty good video card and such, and I had to turn off the pixel shader just to get the FPS up from 10 to a smooth 30. It still looks loads better than WoW, but if you have a computer that's more than a year or two old, it probably won't by that much.
They need to do a lot of tweaking with the spells - there are loads ...
I'm still laughing at "FIVE TIMES BIGGER!"
Seems like all FPS games these days are about how big your **** is.
"My game is five times bigger!"
"Mine has three times more online players possible!"
"My framerate is larger!"
I don't care about "five times bigger", whatever that means. Show me some good gameplay and innovation and I'm a happy camper.
It hurts my eyes too...and we're both Wii fans.
I guess I'll just have to wait and see.
Hardcore gaming is just FINE.
I'm pretty sure that GTAIV's sales have been doing just dandy.
There's no reason why casual gaming and hardcore gaming can't coexist. They always have, they always will.
People who continually disrespect the Wii and its fanbase have no respect for the casual gaming that made hardcore gaming what it is today. And if people still enjoy casual gaming, and many do, let them enjoy it. There will always be a large fanbase...
I disagreed...
I'd definitely be stoked for a next-gen Twisted Metal game, but I'd love to see Jaffe create a new IP even more!
So if you were to analyze a clip of a video game you would've discussed the type of dessert written on a box in the background of one scene?
Well Rare's done it again.
Maybe it'll be a fun game for what it is...but this isn't want anyone wanted.
Agreed!
If that's the trend, they'll end up with an Xbox 2000.
This isn't a vacuum cleaner or hit points in a JRPG. It's an expensive gaming console!
Am I the only person who found this extremely annoying to watch? I mean, do they need to stop the footage to show me a box that says "tiramisu" or teach me the word for "fox" in Spanish?
I don't mind the trailer itself, in fact I'd have mostly good things to say about it. But stopping it every two seconds to tell me things that are useless half the time really put a damper on it.
Game looks like it could be fun regardless...
If it's a prequel...do they go back to health packs and no regen shields? It was a huge change in the second game, but moreso it was explained in the tutorial at the beginning of the game that he has a new suit that recharges. If they make a prequel with a recharging suit, it breaks any continuity the series has. If they go back to health packs then it's an old gameplay style.
Maybe not a huge issue, but it's something interesting worth noting.
I don't own a 3...
To anyone who has never played a Diablo game: YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.
I could even go back to the original (circa 1996) and have a blast playing through the entire game.
