Doom Eternal ran fast and smooth even with RT, I guess they are really pushing the ID Tech 7 engine. All these new games but no mention of direct storage anywhere. What a wasted tech. there is no mention of any fast loading with this game, just it requires a SSD, which is fast but NVME SSDs are much faster.
They are asking a lot, we both get the Xmas discount. lol. https://memset.wordpress.co... A nice little guide I found.
Sony should thank Nintendo for Playstation, it was Nintendo who pulled the plug on the SNES CD add on, the Nintendo Playstation, because Sony would have complete control over any and all titles written on the SNES CD-ROM format. Nintendo did not want that, Nintendo wanted complete control over carts. and CD games.
$70.00 on Steam for a game you don't own, nah I'm going to make sure I own it, no Denuvo so I can get a nice discount. 😉
My SK hynix Gold P31 2TB cost me a bit over $150 last Dec., but I'm looking at 4TB NVME drives now on amazon, most are $200 + and that's with cyber monday discounts.
I didn't buy a 2TB NVME (PC) drive last year for nothing. 😎
It's using UE5 or I like to call it Stutter Engine 5, there will be problems with the PC version at launch, I can already see that. Good job picking the best game engine, dumb asses.
Yes, now we can do that while sitting on our chairs, drinking rum and fire canons (mouse clicks 😂) while sailing torrent sites 😛
For one thing it's going to be easier to crack compared to the original Switch. Might buy it, might not time will tell. 😆 I found this handy little guide that's for Nintendo, so they can understand LOL. https://uploads.disquscdn.c...
Right...
And? Isn't Palword really a rip-off of Pokemon? No one cares. I won't be playing this anyway, don't like it, then don't buy it 😂
That will not happen, the PSP was the only real competition for the DS, but the DS sold close to double of what the PSP sold.
Possibly, my reputation precedes me😂
GT7 missed opportunity on PC. Imagine if Polyphony Digital brought it over to PC with path tracing, and graphics that would be not possible on consoles. Then there would be amazing mods done by the community, not to mention using reshade to bring up that level of fidelity even more.
How about stop releasing games that are not done, and take your time no matter how long it takes. Release date, as ID Software always said, "When it's done!" Not release a broken game, then comes a huge patch, then patch 2, 3 etc. This shit needs to stop. Better yet everyone stop using UE5. I'm going to assume UE6 will be the same crap.
Ah did not know, been a while since I used my 3DS, even though it's hacked and all setup. I will check it out. 👍
The problem is, mostly on PC is all these AAA games getting released when they are clearly not ready it needs to stop. Someone needs to put their foot down and say enough is enough. Delay your game, do extensive testing to make sure it's ready for sale, without a patch that's as big as the game itself, and then another patch, then patch 2, etc. And when asked for a release date, answer: when it's done!
They are getting expensive :( Found one now for $215 not bad condition 442d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment
I still have my New 3DS XL. Hacked it to install custom firmware. https://3ds.hacks.guide/
It plays so many ROMs from NES, Neo Geo, Atari etc. perfectly, best to stick with 2D games. Also have about 100 DS and 3DS ROMs on it to, very easy to get. For emulation it's perfect, there is also ThirdTube a YT alternative on it to.
NVME drives are much faster than older 600mbs SSDs using the SATA cable. The point I wanted to make is that Direct Storage seems like a failed tech. no new games show that it's being used.
