I think it's more that many people don't fully understand the concept of inflation.
This was where I became confused as I thought hdmi was a progressive scan vs interlaced (1080p vs 1080I).
That being said in addition to the hdmi-only console... it really just confuses me.. don't get me wrong, certain media will only be displayed interlaced, but will we notice the difference of this 1080I vs a different 1080I? Or, more specifically, 1080p vs 1080I?
That's where pc has been stagnating... "oh, Windows does it all... Just not the best for my needs, so I won't try something new."
Wait, "The fact that a lot of graphical features are left out (a lot of DirectX features and others), and basically performance is the same."
Direct x features? After "calling out" valve fanboys? Are you dumb? Do you seriously NOT understand what direct x is? It's OWNED by Microsoft. Direct x(box/360/one). So, the fact that those features were left out was for a reason... licensing, fees, ect...
Yeah, when nvidea and amd starts writing the drivers for steam os, then this argument is valid.
Edit: drivers are written for the os by the hardware people for their hardware. Nvm, I'm never eloquent with words.
“Obviously we’ve heard the feedback from developers and we’re looking at all the way the ways we can to lower barriers for developers, but I really can’t comment on publishing policies. The reality is that developers should get in touch with us and talk.”
Also known as, "piss off, we're too big to cater to you." And "might" means most likely no.
I don't get this. The site is a mess to me, and the first few comments seem legit... something took a wrong turn.
Yeah, I've been purposely not clicking on YouTube videos, even if I really want to see the content. I'm not sorting this lack of expression.
If you submit something to n4g you have to adhere to certain rules. Just do a submission to see why the word, "some" could have been left out.
"all they ask for is at least parity on CONSOLE release dates and will work case by case for games that have come out on other platforms first."
What is funny is that I picked a relatively neutral article to explain the problem - my bad.
I'm not sure why you think that this is a good thing. The way I read it is that they will make exceptions for studios on other platforms prior id@xbox being written (aka, not the studios who do it in the future)...
Eh, I just think he's playing to what a lot of people already think. It just seems... pressed. When these higher ups say it, either side.
Until your build sucks... then people quit, like many games before it. Month long then skydive.
Don't get me wrong, I miss the hardcore days where you had to create a new character to make a different build, or even if you screwed up.
They should jab away.
Stupid gimmicks like "Kinect voice control" when the only thing needed is a Mic.
Pretentious much?
I saw it was from Forbes and didn't want to click through. None of the comments have made me think I should, too.
Can't release first on pc and then come to xbox. Just saying:
http://www.eurogamer.net/ar...
Some gamers on n4g didn't get that until now, I bet.
Don't forget the id@xbox clause that states that a developer HAS to release on xbox before or at the same time as other plats.
So, in order to bring it to xbox they have to delay their game on pc (basically any platform other than xbox) or move solely to xbox.
Just a friendly reminder.
Ps4 version confirmed.
Oh, what?!
Here, I'm trying to quit my job so I can repeat this as I have over many, many posts on n4g, disqus, kotaku, and the like... pasted from above...
--I've said this many times on many sites... I worked midnight to 8am on black Friday. Columbus, not surrounding areas, Ohio. Heavy 360 store that had 29 xbone and 27 ps4.
Ps4 sold out by 3am. X1 sold 8 by then. When I asked my boss how many x1 were left at 8pm she said, "around 7 or 8; I don't get ...
I don't think you get what cloud technology actually is.
