Its really sad when someone has to find anything to stand up for DVD-9, I mean really what part of technology dont you understand, the fact that we need to upgrade almost every part? Cause no one in their right minds would want to change out up 5-8 discs, unless they are in the biggest denile in the world. You will defend this system till you get hit in the head with one right? I hope its true they do drop the price when the 60 gig sells out, cause I know sony is seeing those numbers going up in sales and they like it, or who knows they might decide to keep both SKU, only the future will tell.
The demo they showed was pre alpha so all the textures werent finalized and some were place holders till they can finish the game, so give them a break, and why show off day light if it might be the best part in the game, I rather just let them build up the hype, no one wants to show their hands right away.
I didnt know there was so much details, I was just impressed by the graphics alone, but dang, this just proves why Cell+RSX+Bluray make a one hitter killer when used by the right people, and the scary thing is this is going to be a 2nd gen game.

The demo was good, and to correct the guy who made this article, the biggest demo on PSN is The Darkness over 1gig.

I dont know how someone can disagree with you when MGS4 is a Stealth base 3rd person/first person shooter, and Mass Effect is basically a 3rd person/2nd person RPG'ish Knight of the old Republic type of game. They really need to do their research.
after seeing this vid I think that vampire looking guy will be a problem if we fight him in the game, he probably teleports or something :( hopefully he wont be a pain.
You see its a good thing you can choose, its a good thing that its there and whenever you need it you can use it, just like PS2 being a DVD player its good that it has that feature for later down the road if you want to be tempted to watch a good movie you enjoy. For me im getting 300, which comes out I think next week or so.
Whats with the gamers dont care about blu ray part, last time I check Blu ray wasnt used only for movies, but bringing big future titles to the PS3 using its storage capacity. So I think its great thing if you look at it both ways, one it could be used as a blu ray player and for playing better story driving games, to get more into it.
Theres one thing you forgot, sony says they can improve image quality through firmware update, which is a good thing, so to say PS3 can only display DVD-9 at the same quality forever in the consoles life cycle, your truly mistaken. Whos to say that those formats cant be turned in to digital distribution. They dont always have to stay on disc anyway.
You can argue the other way as well, if PS3 didnt have Blu ray as a built in device they would offer it as a stand alone add on like Microsoft, but since Sony is known for being into the movie industry and what not, I think people would pick up that add-on rather then HD DVD seeing as how Blu ray has the most support today, and also since it would be an add-on PS3 would be much cheaper, probably around the 360 premium price.
That line about sueing anyone for anything nowadays reminds me of GTA3 where you had a number to sue for anything.
I remember rumors of an HD version of Wii coming, who knows if it might be it and built in Blu ray drive, anythings possible. But I do believe this would hurt the consumers that have already purchased their wii, or it could be a good thing but also it would have to mean the price would slightly go up.

According to IGN this game is coming to PS3, unless someone announced it not coming to PS3, and I remember I had the magazine where it was coming to the PS3 as well.
EDIT: Well for now its only for PC, no other platform has been announced but the devs did say they wanted to make it a multiplatform game as much as possible.
