It's hard to compare a BR drive to DVD9.
Of course load times will be shorter for a DVD it holds less data, that needs to be transferred and processed.
Also is it really bad to load a game on to HD so that it improves speeds? Was this not one of the advantages to having consoles with HD's built in?
Besides it happened with any data transfer no matter what.

It is not official.
I find it very hard to believe they can add dynamic weather, but not dynamic lighting.
Not that DVD may be limiting, that is VERY possible.
Either way I would like something a bit more solid, before I form an opinion.

I don't think it would be a good idea, of a game of totally different genre to go up against Halo. I could see Sony wanting to say "MS, and Halo do not scare us", but in the same sense could shoot them self in the foot, for even trying to go aginst it. Halo is a force indeed.
Personally I don't see the big deal about Halo, but I know it's a MASSIVE title.
From now until Christmas are going to be some fantastic months for gamers. This season is goin...
I really do wish I could get as excited for this game, as so many others do.
I just don't hold it up as high as the masses.
Maybe this one will change that in me. As of right now it's not at the top of my list.

The demo is buggy here and there, and it's just that, a demo....

That's exciting. Burns was a well done game. I still have it installed on my PC.
but, what I do know about it is that NOTHING is easy to program for.
I will say the 360 is more than likely A LOT easier to program for, than the PS3, but for a DEV that makes their money from multiple releases. She would not last long working for me.
It's one thing to say something is hard to do, but it's another to shut up and do it. It's called hard work.
I am willing to bet they were one of the DEV's that felt the PS2 was terrible to work on ...
I think we would see this on a Single core, before a multi-core system.
I am thinking that for that it would take MAJOR hardware changes for Mobo's, Mem, and Harddrives to even utilize that type of speed.
It would be interesting to see none the less.
I was not talking that this is going to happen next week. In less than a year a 2GB thumbdrive has gone from $100 to about $30.
Also Sony is already starting to put 30GB Solid State drives in some of thier VAIO's.
However if more R & D is put into the media I am sure this could change drastically.
I guess there is always Holographic storage 0_o yowza!
I think both HD-DVD, and BluRay have their own up's and down's, but I really feel that both formats will be replaced by Solid state storage. Similar to that of USB thumbdrives.
Guess time will tell.
I have to admit that it is awful dark. Yet that could just be what they wanted. Looks amazing either way.
I really think that you should be required to get a license before you can have a child.

I agree with both of you. I have a feeling this E3 is going to be bomb dropping, after bomb dropping.
This is when Sony vs. Ms vs. Nintendo gets good. I am excitied to see anything that comes out of this show.

You will have to register your PSP with your PS3.
The PS3 will then broadcast a signal only to said registered PSP. I am actually really curious how this would work with PS1 games that you can download to your PSP. Will you be able to save PSP saves to the PS3 and what now?
I think it's great how much effor Sony is putting into advancing the features of a very expensive device.
