I beg to differ. $60 is not an expensive hobby. I have spend more than $250 on Football equipment this year, which I play once a week for 2 hours. With any game I have, I paid $60 for the possiblity of 24/7 playtime. Stop speaking with your wallet every time.

If you never tried anything else, you are correct - you can't say that CoD is the best. I still do believe however, that I can say I like Football more than Golf, without ever trying Golf, simply because the sport doesn't interest me.

Exacly, people are hating, for no reason. Activision runs a bsuiness, Call of Duty is their product. The sole purpose of running Call of Duty is do get $$$$, as soon as people realize this, things will stop being a hate-fest.

If people wanted a simply game, they could pick up Counter-Strike:Source or UT2k4. Clearly, it's not because it's playable by anyone, because it's a terrific shooter. I don't disagree with some of their PC solutions, but still their games are rock solid.
Considering MW2 & Black Ops are the 2nd and 1st most sold FPS of all times, then yes - Yes, it deserves to dominate headlines.
Because Diablo III is the most awaited PC game, perhaps ever. Not even Duke Nuken Forever comes close to the anticipation of D3.

It's quite obvious, that the whole start of BF3 is scripted - seeing as how your squad members tells you to move with you and does everything for you (including opening doors).

Activision has been doing it right alot. MW2 & Black Ops are the most sold shooters in history and they now bring out another feature which will be bitched about alot because it costs money (people expect everything for free), but isn't nesseccity. If you don't feel you need it, don't buy it, it won't give others an unfair advantage, it will help people overcome some of their own problems.

I think you misunderstand something about 1080p. Even though you set the graphic details, resolution and high definition much further than a console capabilities, the game is NOT created to maximize the potential. It's a console port, the graphics is slightly enhanced, nothing amazing - because it's a console game.
Who on earth plays with pads on a PC? As mentioned in several articles, PC version will suffer as the engine is console-minded. It won't maximize the PC capabil...
It makes the game fast paced. In games like Halo, you have time to react and get hit a gazillion times. The aspects in CoD aren't limited to your aiming, it's limited to your awareness and most definately also your team coordination.
