I bought it - could care less if anyone else did... That said, anyone who didn't is missing out.
Yeah, I'm not gonna click on a Eurogamer link - man's gotta have standards... and I KNOW The 360 controller isn't as responsive as my Elite.
What?
The XO's version's controls are great - yesterday I shot a bird out of the sky (it was part of a mission, I swear!) - and it's got the best traversal system since Sunset Overdrive... Not to mention the game looks and runs beautifully on current-gen.
@Sinn - both versions have the same content and the game is bloody brilliant... if I didn't have an XO, I'd probably find it hard to resist getting the 360 version.
It's right there in the picture... releases on Jan 22 for PC, PS4 and XO.
Do it - Life is Strange is one of the best games of 2015 (nominated for best narrative, best performance and the 'Games for Change' award at this years' VGX) and one of the most original titles in years... better than anything Telltale or Quantic Dreams have done.
Beautiful and brutal... It's hella sensitive!
Instinct can be toggled to only show collectible/interactive objects, beacons/pins or turned off altogether... Personally, I'm playing on 'Survivor' with instinct set to only show beacons, which still requires exploration, but helps me to keep the story rolling as I see fit.
Hell of a good game... It'll probably end up being one of those titles I immediately replay.
You mean Driveclub, Killzone and the Order?
AH HA HA HA HA HAAAA!!!!
No... nice use of 'coequal', but no.
Everybody knows that Sony's PS4 exclusives haven't been up to snuff... Hell, even the JRPGs have been underwhelming.
The only genre the PS4 is undisputed champion of is Horror - Bloodborne, Soma, PT and Until Dawn look like legit classics... Next year does look to remedy this, but by then it'll have been three ...
There's no way they're not working on another Red Dead.
It's like Bethesda with Fallout - everyone knew they were working on it, even as they claimed otherwise, though I don't think anyone expected it to release as early as it did... Red Dead Redemption was announced less than a year from it's launch, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if a follow-up announced and released in 2016.
@Blondie: Agent will never happen - I don't care wh...
I'm just gonna wait for EA to put it in the Access Vault... not quite the same as F2P, but close enough.
The pleasant suprise of my gaming year - I knew I'd love Rise of the Tomb Raider and Wild Hunt, but I never thought I'd be ranking Life is Strange right alongside 'em... here's hoping Dontnod win some GotY awards.
Impressive... 2015 has been great - the best year for videogames in ages - but it looks like 2016 has the potential to be even better.
As it stands, I'll definitely be getting the Resident Evil Collection in January, Deus Ex (maybe Farcry: Primal) in Feb, Hitman (maybe The Division) in March, Quantum Break in April, Mirror's Edge in May and Ark: Survival Evolved in June... and that's just the games with specific release dates - titles like Adr1ft, Below, ReCore, T...
Really?
Well shit - I'll have to check if my dirty old laptop is actually capable of running it... and quit one (or both) of my jobs.
Cheers!
A long, long time ago I was VERY excited to play this, until that beta put me right off... I was gonna give it another chance when it came to EAccess, but I don't like the idea of playing less Tomb Raider.
Has anyone tried the new 'Old Republic' MMO expansion?
The trailer had a KotOR vibe - looked like a proper Bioware RPG, but I'm guessing the MMO style changes things... I've never played an MMO, but it looks more my speed than Battlefront.
Tomb Raider takes roughly 40 hours to complete, so it'll keep plenty of folks (myself iincluded)entertained while Bethesda impliments the first wave of patches... I knew Fallout would be janky, but I pre-ordered because it was way cheaper than any retail outlet will be for months.
Your implication that Tomb Raider's lack of multiplayer is detrimental to it's success is absurd... the reboot's multiplayer sucked - nobody played it (except for achievement/trophy ...
Yeah, me too... Just wish I'd found the last lantern before destroying that tomb!
Now I'm thinking of restarting and playing on 'Survivor' difficulty... I'm yet to experience any of the brutal death animations - and I've no desire to do so - so I'm torn as to whether or not that's a good idea.
Poor Lara's a Death magnet, but she's too damn pretty to die!
None of them own xboxes.
Yeah, where are all the 'Fallout should have been delayed' articles?
I'm getting both, but it's a relief to see that Lara's ready for release - so far as I know, Tomb Raider doesn't even have a day 1 patch... meanwhile Bethesda get praised for not announcing their games too early, when that's exactly what they've done!
Both consoles are running Fallout in 1080p... to me this looks like another instance of a developer giving priority to whichever version gets sent out for reviews - as dictated by a 3rd party partnership.
Assassin's Creed: Unity ran better on Xbox, whereas AC: Syndicate runs better on Playstation - both had partnerships with MS and Sony respectively... Wild Hunt on Xbox, Arkham Knight on Playstation - they can't all be coincidences.
What puzzles me is...
Looks like they built a 'Porta-Citadel' - pretty flash... I figured Andromeda was set a good while after the original trilogy, but I guess it all depends on how long it takes Citadel 2.0 to get to it's destination.
I know Bioware have said the story will follow a new cast, but I don't see the harm in a few DA: Inquisition-style cameos... Liara and Grunt still had a solid 900 years left to live (and both would have good reasons for making such a journey) and ED...
Same - it's actually nominated for a few GotY awards, but I reckon the majority of the accolades will go to The Witcher... That said, Tomb Raider should still get 'best action/adventure', maybe 'best performance' too (though 'Life is Strange' might give it a run for it's money).
Either way, Tomb Raider's effin' great... I LOVED the reboot but 'Rise...' is better in every way - not just graphics.
