Amen to that.

Formats such as cinema & television have survived a variety of technological overhauls because of their simplicity - 99% of people are capable of sitting and staring... Videogames were the first truly interactive art form, but they succeeded by building on television's foundation - not to mention computers, which were growing increasingly ubiquitous.

VR asks you to buy headsets, cameras, motion controllers and a machine to run it all... it recommends you use a room ...

I always figured VR would be sold using 'real' games like Half Life 3 or Star Citizen, but it looks like the vast majority of AAA studios are content to let the indie devs do all of the heavy lifting - even the Batman and Star Wars titles sound like short, shallow 'experiences', despite their being attached to the biggest franchises in existence... that said, even some of the more prominent indie devs are neglecting to feature VR compatibility in games that seem perfect for th...

To be fair, Guts actually did take 100 guys on his own - Yeah, he nearly died, but that was before he spent a whole year working on his sword arm... but you're absolutely right about the prison break - THAT was Guts at 100%.

I just finished watching the Golden Age Arc, so the only thing I want to know is will this game let me hunt Griffith? I REALLY want to kill him... Guts was a sweetheart and the Band of the Hawk deserved better - Hell, even Corkus deserved better - and d...

They can always trade it in for Deus Ex, which is still a sci-fi FPS... even has a story!

This whole situation reminds me of Destiny's launch - overhyped, overpriced, unfinished and launched with 'late' reviews, right before the yearly landslide of actual AAA games... Yeah, Destiny was successful in-terms of sales, but it took a year's worth of updates before anyone considered it to be worthy of it's price.

Personally, I still think of...

What reason?
You'll have to explain, because I see no reason in any of these replies - just a lot of jabbering about exclusives... lest we forget, this article is about the Neo's launch.

1st party, sure... but AAA? Uhhhhh.

Team Ico made 'Ico', Team Siren made 'Siren' and SIE Japan made some mid-tier PS3 games as well as 'Knack'... whether of not they can be classified as 'AAA' is irrelevant, seeing as neither Gravity Rush 2 nor The Last Guardian look like they'd actually gain much from the Neo's extra power - their stylised, 'cel-shaded' graphics are an artistic choice, so the most you could really hope for wo...

I'm guessing you didn't watch the video? You sure as $#!t didn't bother to read past the first line of my comment... even the Pushsquare guy all but agrees with me.

And you have the nerve to call someone else a fanboy... I mean, let's face it - I'm right and you don't like it.
Disagree if it helps... doesn't change the facts.

GT Sport is the only AAA you listed... I stand by my previous statement.

3469d ago 7 agree26 disagreeView comment

Seeing as Gran Turismo Sport is basically the only AAA game in Sony's 2nd-half lineup, I figure the announcement will come after the 'rumored' October deadline (when 3rd party devs are allegedly required to make Neo-compatible titles) allowing them to reveal the console with a variety of upscaled games... that said, even the holiday's multiplat selection is looking a bit thin (Dishonored 2 is the only post-October multiplat I'm looking foward to), so here's hoping Sony...

Kotaku can barely report the news, let-alone leak a console - besides which, it's not as though Sony are going to release two inferior SKUs as competition for Scorpio... Regardless, Sony should say something sooner rather than later - relying on these leaks and so-called 'insiders' has only served to generate more confusion.

Same - I was gonna buy one for Uncharted 4, but it got delayed and those Neo leaks (which all but forced Sony's E3 confirmation) ended up saving me some $$$... apparently there's an October deadline for compatible games, so I fully expect the system to launch within the next 6 months - probably sometime between the release of PSVR and Horizon Zero Dawn.

Probably the one with the leaked spec-sheets, which have been 'verified' and corroborated by a variety of reliable sources... where did you hear 5.5?

Can't play em on a PS4 either... and I'm betting the Neo releases before any of the games you listed - PSVR is coming and Sony won't want to be percieved as having the weakest hardware for long, plus they'll no-doubt be eager to get VR versions of No Man's Sky, Fallout 4 and other 'normal' games as incentive for the hardcore audience, who - let's face it - aren't gonna rush out to buy PSVR for 'Rigs' or 'Summer Lesson'.

I reckon "All" might be a bit of a stretch - games like No Man's Sky or Paragon, which appear to have some sort of exclusivity arrangement with Sony might not get ported, at-least not initially.

Then there are games like Star Citizen, which would probably run just fine on the Scorpio, but would require heavy downgrading to work on XO - so in that sense UWP/Play anywhere might also be an Achilles heel with regards to the (admittedly few) hardware-intensive PC e...

Here's hoping this is implemented before XCOM2 comes out... XCOM on 360 was great, but the controls were rather clunky - as was the game in-general, so it's 'nice' to hear Firaxis say that they're taking extra care with XCOM2's console ports.

With Win10, cross-play and K&M support, I see no reason why the XO couldn't get ports of Civs 6, LoL, Dota, CSGO or any other PC exclusive... certainly some of the indies should start making the jump - U...

For a lot of us they basically are... games like Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey and Nier are almost impossible to find in stores and they don't have digital versions on 360, so the BC program gives players that missed these underrated gems a chance to finally play them.

Hence the excitement.

Tell that to Ryse, Titanfall, Sunset Overdrive, Quantum Break, Ori and the Blind Forest and Inside... or don't - it's not as though your absurd 'opinions' have ever had any impact.

I reckon it all depends on when they hold ttheir conference... Paris Games Week isn't until late October, by which point ReCore, Forza, Gear of War and Below will have released - hopefully Cuphead too - so I'd expect to see a few new games announced alongside the obligatory previews for Crackdown 3, State of Decay 2, Phantom Dust, etc.

As for Halo 6, I agree that a teaser isn't out of the question, though I doubt we'll see any gameplay until Scorpio's un...

"isn't planned"? BAH!

Firaxis said something similar with regards to the console versions of XCOM2, but we all know that was bull$#!t... The PS4 has mouse&keyboard support and the XO will have it before Civ6 launches - not to mention it already runs Win10 - and it's not as though the Civs games are demanding, in-terms of recommended specs.
