Quantum break, state of decay 2, halo 5.... the og titanfall from like 5 years ago?!?

It’s a satire piece right? Or did they change the definition of quality when the clocks went back over the weekend?

Edit- it’s april 1st isn’t it, hahaha!

These aren’t impressions, it’s a summary of the story. All it does is spoil it for any one who wants to read it

I thought the exact same. Fingers crossed they’ll be previewing all the new mechanics and elements further down the line. It did just look like borderlands 2 with new locations

I find I’m generally way shittier with certain weapons, my fave combo is a spitfire with as many add ons as I can find and the Eva shotgun. I find I can hit enemies at range with short bursts of the spitfire and up close you can just hold down the trigger. The Eva isn’t mega powerful but you can fire off rounds quickly. But some other weapons I’m missing everything, haha!

I’ve not really gotten into a online shooter in a big way since BF 3, and I’m nuts for apex legends.

The movement, the gunplay, the different characters abilities and the price are some of the things that stand out for me. The time spent at the beginning the game looting is exciting, the gameplay of Battle Royale games is inherently exciting because the open nature means you can use many different strategies to tackle your foes. When you kill it’s exciting, when you when i...

You mean Scotland right?
And supposed sightings go back over 1000 years! There’s a famous photo that we’ve all seen that’s from the 1930’s, google it, you’ll see the picture I mean.

It’s Activision, it makes me think maybe they mean a destiny style online world, which could potentially be interesting. I’ve not owned a CoD for 15 years or so my opinion is pretty meaningless, haha

No they don’t, hahaha! they suck big time, look at the article. To be fair this was never going to be a great looking game

I just had a revelation! The grapple pulls enemies towards you!!

I watched an interview today where the guy said explicitly that there won’t be any way for creators to make money, no assets will be available for money, just for free. He said to iamagine the free marketplace as a hippy commune of creators or something along those lines.

By that do you mean permanently shut down/game ended. That’s about as EA as it gets, haha!

It sounds like investors and shareholders alike had absolutely no idea about the coming split, they hid it from everyone. The fact that we heard nothing from the games media until the day the two companies actually parted ways says it all. Best kept secret in gaming in years!

I played the original when it came out on the live arcade, and although I liked it, I certainly didn’t love it. I personally am seriously hyped for this, inter galactic, space hopping, captain your own hand picked crew off badasses RPG.

I can understand why you’re all upset it’s so different from the original in certain game play elements (although I defo remember vehicle segments in the first one) we really cannot comment on the story of this new one yet because we know b...

The outer worlds is single player isn’t it? Surely that makes the title of this article completely stupid

I’ve been saying it all week, i think they could’ve mitigated so much of the bad press by releasing it half price, acknowledging how much of an experiment it is, and not pushing it as a full £60 experience, because it clearly is not

People do talk about no mans sky, and a lot of people play it, it’s been supported enough to pull it out of a hole.

I bought destiny one on day one for the Xbox and played a fair amount but sacked it off after the first dlc. But then got it on the PS4 after the taken king and it was a different game, a big one with lots to do.

I agree, Bethesda’s free pass should’ve ended long ago, and fallout 76 is broken in so many ways, but I still think it’s fixable, ...

A great article. Very informative and well written, an interesting read all round.

Overall a good description of everyone’s (who cares for the game at least) fears for the future of 76, it won’t generate enough money to warrant further investment to pull it out of its current state.

The game isn’t great, but I’m enjoying it enough to persevere through its rough spots for now, but my good will won’t last forever.

Who’s to say it couldn...

I’ve been banging on to friends for a while that I reckon this game is a super serious RPG, but really only in a purely literal sense. Not in a traditional tinkering with stats in menus sense.

I have to admit, this is a day one purchase for me, I’m excited. But 100% honesty... it does look like a very fancy version of Spider-Man 2 on ps2 (or ps1, can’t remember) in that the swinging around looks almost identical, albeit in a larger more attractive version of Manhattan. The fighting has had the obligatory post Arkham-verse update and looks suitably modern, and there looks to be more filling this world than the ones all those years ago.

But it still does look very ...

I think when considering the potential griefing aspect it’s important to consider the implications of a) the size of the map and b) the fact the other players won’t be tracked on the map. Those two points alone are huge.
