You know what, it sucks but this does help a little. Everything else on the Xbox looks good, it really is just halo, I’m gutted because I’ve been so looking forward to playing it but this really does look bad enough it disturbs my fun. I noticed it on the multiplayer a little but it wasn’t that off putting, I suppose it’s because the first 2 missions are in such dark environments.
It also does this mild screen flicker just on the darkest elements. Really hope they fix, but ...
I’m playing on my Philips 806 oled and the hdr is just complete and utter trash. I’m completely losing my mind and at this point pretty desperately need some input from someone else.
I’ve fiddled with my tv settings (which seems pointless because it looks great with everything else including my ps5, which incidentally is using the same hdmi 2.1 cable as the Xbox). I’ve used the Xbox’s on hdr setup to have it set exactly how it’s telling me to and also many other combination...
At this point I think the game awards are just a bit of joke, regardless of some pretty meaningless moral showboating.
Rockstar didn’t personally develop gta trilogy definitive edition but it’s still their ip and would’ve still had some control and as such must be seen as at least partially responsible for the complete mess it was

I’ve been on here really defending battlefield. I hate to say it, but I think I was wrong. The whole things just messed up. Give it 6 months guys, maybe then it’ll be better, unfortunately I think maybe not.
There are so many different problems it’s crazy. I think fundamentally the 128 player just creates a very frustrating experience. Frustration really driven home by the lack of server options, a crazy selection of bugs and strange/bad design choices.

I think my judgement on anything is entirely clouded and perhaps biased just because of gamepass. I know I’m paying for it but it just makes all these games so accessible, I think I’m less critical because of it
I’ve played every halo but never really gotten into the online too much. I’m really enjoying the infinite multiplayer.
I’ll admit, it’s a little bare bones and the battle pass is super grindy, and what you are actually grinding for is lacklustre at best, but it’s all still fun, and I’m still finding excitement in my unlocks.

Don’t let it go just yet, I’ve had great fun playing it but last night I switched it off after a really frustrating 15 mins or so (I think as more peeps start playing the worse it’s getting), I’m not going back to it for at least a fortnight, maybe a Month.
But I will be going back in, because although it isn’t the exact battlefield experience we all know/wanted/expected, when it’s working properly and you understand the maps and new systems, it’s sooooo much fun. Like so ...
Man… bf4 was a different story altogether. I got my Xbox one at launch for bf4 and it worked ok for the first 24 hours then it was completely and utterly broken for weeks. I found it impossible to join a game for ages, and then when I did get in one it was a rubber banding nightmare. And it looked like ass straight off the bat. Seriously disappointing start to that gen for me.
But I also had bf3 and bc2 at launch and I don’t remember any real problems with them on the 360 ...
I’m 9 hours into my trial on sx, up until the last 2 hours I don’t think I’ve really had that many noticeable issues. Mainly my problems have been design decisions that don’t make any sense to me.
Why is there no score board?
Why is the 3D audio so so quiet?
Why is there no unlock-able infra red or thermal sights for any vehicle?
Why is the respawn screen so horrible to use with a controller.
And really annoyingly there’s no way of exiting you...

I hate to be a hater, but I’d go as far as saying I’m not entirely sure what the show was for. Nothing really worth the production costs of a 25 min show. But obvs that is just personal opinion. I’m looking forwards to devil inside, but that’s it for me, I tried a star ocean on the 360 years ago and it wasn’t for me. Also think they do no one any favours with these terribly compressed sub hd streams. It’s pre recorded, just post it in 4K
I can’t find any videos mentioning it, which is making me concerned my tv and the game are clashing somehow, that seems unlikely though. I saw one video where someone was talking about washed out cutscenes.
Are we all saying that in that very first cutscene on the infinity it looked perfect for every one and not really washed out and gray overall? Even my wife asked why it looked like that when it was on.
