In some situations when businesses are bought out or merged.............unionized workers or contacts that the companies may own, have a Change Of Control clause that may honor contracts & agreements in place prior to the merger or buy out.

I never particularly cared for sega's machine, except for a handful of classic titles. I did however have a Genesis just for the sports games. I'm not attacking you in anyway, but I don't understand why folks keep screaming for a remade FFVII. I played & beat the game 10 years ago. I'll never forget how Sephiroth kept kicking my ass in the final battle. I really enjoyed it & will always like the game, but I'd much rather have a brand new story to play through. We already know how FFVII plays out. Wouldn't it be better if developers were spending their efforts on a new adventure for us to play?
a very nice channel to view about games & stuff. Even after G4 merged with Tech TV, it was still cool. I think they lost some funding or something recently. For the last year or so, they've reduced the programming to TV shows that are in syndication. It's just my opinion but, I don't think re-run episodes of COPS belongs on a channel that's dedicated to electronics & video games.
EB had a great return policy. You could purchase a brand new game, & return it within 7 days for a full refund. Funco Land always had some crazy prices going on. Me personally, I was always partial to Software Etc & EB. I guess since they had lots of PC stuff available, those stores seemed to be more upscale than other stores.
Every time I read a comment that you post, it's bashing Sony in some way. Why don't you just sell your PS3 & move on to something else? This was a topic where happy PS3 owners are discussing online issues for a game that they all enjoy & here you come complaining about Sony & PS3 again.
I only have PS3 right now & I don't care about it's exclusivity being timed or whatever. I gave them a fair shot, but first person shooters never did it for me anyway. They are great games, but I could care less about yet another FPS. It's arguable that developers have flooded the market on both 360 & PS3 with hyped FPS's.
I understand that the times have really changed for gamers, but all over this site & others, all I see is talk of sales numbers. Consoles sold, games sold.....does anyone just play the games anymore? In his defense....I started reading topics on this site about early June. Bladestar was posting some off the wall opinions and bashing PS3 & Sony every chance available. The last few weeks, he's been making more valid points in his arguments. I'm by no means here to judge anyone on their views, but I think considering his past comments, he deserves his props.

You are so right!!! I can't believe how I completely forgot about the 16 bit Maddens. Madden on SNES was horrible compared to Genesis. At first EA wouldn't even put out a Nintendo version, not to mention Sega's version was a 2-3 years ahead of Nintendo's all the way up untill Playstation 1 started to dominate. I thought it was just me that noticed all of the Xbox360 stuff on the new Madden 08 commercials. It's almost as if that's the only version of the game being promoted.
