in pictures they can look pretty equal, but in motion KZ2 wins in my opinion, the animations are just out of this world. i've noticed some really awkward last-gen animations (pulled straight from RE4 probably) in some RE5 videos. granted the game is not released and they could still fix some of the animations but yea.. i doubt they can beat KZ2.
both look absolutely gorgeous though.. im going to be very impressed.
Noby Noby Boy... was not there
yea i have heard about those, how exactly were they like achievements/trophies?
props to Microsoft for implementing the idea first, and kudos to Sony for improving it :)
like others have commented, trophies can really tell how skilled/dedicated a player is. for example, i personally have like over 200 sh*tty bronze trophies, and only 10 gold trophies. that means i am pretty average, i manage to get the easiest trophies, but the gold ones are often too hard for me.. BUT i have seen others who have like 300 bronzes and 4 gold ones. that means they suck bad.
yeah i think everyone just has 0s, i read somewhere that it's on Media Molecule's "to do list" to fix it..
there were still "major" bugs? i haven't noticed really.. but then again i dont use the level creator (have no skills lol), maybe there were some bugs there.
or might this finally fix the counters, how many levels i've played etc?
i really want one little sixaxis function (that you can turn on/off) for the XMB, should be extremely easy to implement:
tilting the controller upwards would be the same as pushing up on the d-pad, tilting it left the same as pushing left on the d-pad.. etc. that way you could go through your xmb without pressing buttons, it just makes sense to me!
anyone else want this? yes? no..? lol.
just make it a porn already.
seriously speaking, i think Lara Croft is an embarrassing character.. i really loved the first game AS A GAME, but i was just embarrassed to play it, even as a young boy. i remember my mom looking at the game cover with Lara's picture, and then looking at me like i'm a little perv.. i so wanted to explain that i only wanted to play it because of the GAMEPLAY and the nice virtual world to explore! but she wouldnt have believed me lol.
i ju...
funny.. i dont drink, smoke, or do drugs. (not that i condemn them, just not my thing, i prefer games lol).
but hmm i've had this feeling that something's "missing" from my life, maybe that's it? alcohol and drugs. could be.
and should keep selling for a long time, if the multiplayer keeps more people coming (word of mouth of how fun it is).
neither Sony nor Guerrilla Games ever called the original Killzone a "Halo killer".
that sort of hyping was done by journalists, etc.
we've gone so long without seeing any real gameplay or anything that revealing, i think i'm just going to hold out from now on, i'm not looking at anything FFXIII related. i'll just buy the game when it's out, not knowing a thing about it. can't be a bad decision!
Wii sales..
i kinda knew the score beforehand, just looking at the Killzone 2 backcover you can see there's a quote from Gamepro saying something like "one of the best next-gen shooters" :) pictures of it have been around for a long time.
keep the good scores coming though! i can't wait for IGN's review.
i'm playing Fallout 3 on ps3 and i absolutely LOVE it. i even wrote Bethesda thanking them for making such a great game also on PS3, and i never ever do that...
now i feel like a f*cking chump.
exactly!
especially when you can easily tell that the developers put a lot of effort into making a virtual world feel "alive" and it has great atmosphere.. that's art right there.
that was pretty much what i was going to say!
to me games are sometimes BEYOND art, in that they contain many different forms of art (beautiful music etc), and are much more than the sum of their parts..
just as an example, i'm currently playing Fallout 3, and it's a phenomenal experience, stirs some really deep emotions in me, as compared to staring at Mona Lisa or something (i wont deny it's a fine painting though). that one game took years and lots of effort to ma...
from what i've read, Killzone 2 has a fairly deep backstory, and it's not ridiculously dumb like in most shooter games. there are moral grey areas like who are the real bad guys in the conflict, etc.. in that way it is similar to Half-Life, that it's not a dumb game. much grittier and dark of course, but you know what i mean. an adult can play KZ2 and get something out of it instead of the usual "wow.. im a good guy shooting baddies and saving the universe". there is some deeper con...
many people's PS2s have broken since buying a PS3. should they really buy a new PS2?
also, it's SO MUCH better to just have one PlayStation console that plays all PlayStation games. having two takes up space etc. don't tell me it doesn't make sense.
i kinda agree but.. Fallout 3 is one of the best games i've played this gen on my PS3. and it could have been a 360 exclusive, and i would have had to buy a 360 in that case... so im thankful i got to play the game at all.
also, if we PS3 owners now start to boycott Bethesda, what do you think will happen to Elder Scrolls 5 and Fallout 4 (if they make one)? well, they would end up as 360/PC exclusive. how's that good for the PS3..? i'm a long time PlayStation fan (ever since the ...
