I have no problems with this decision :)
Jimmy Fallon is another gamer too afaik.
Here we go. Another one of these articles. I'm glad DICE is focusing on PC as lead but I'd be perfectly happy if I was a console only owner too. I don't know why DICE seems like they must drill it into our head every day they are developing for PC first. The player count on consoles seems fair. I play BC2 on PC with 32 players and it always seems that 80% of every team is a sniper and you get sniped every couple minutes so I can just imagine what 64 players would be like. Honestly...
I like the darker story bit. Great to know.
Good news for 360 owners but I wonder why it wasn't announced yet. Maybe coming out 2012? That would probably be ideal to spread out the big releases plus the later half of this year is packed with huge AAA games.
Also, strange tags. No mention of PS3 which is where the game sells best and it has a PC tag and this game isn't even on PC lol
Article is already on the front page.
Well in some ways you are correct but PSPGo failed hard with a download only solution. You have to remember the console market is different than that of the PC. PC gamers are typically older and have jobs to support there gaming habits while with console a big chunk of the market are young kids who rely on borrowing games from friends and/or trading games in to put towards newer games. Personally, the only issue I don't like with download only is I can't trade/sell the game if I don...
I used to like FF...but that was before Chrome came out. I'd wager I was using FF long before anyone else here unless they are a Linux geek for the past several years when it was known as firebird/phoenix. Anyone remember that? I don't think many will lol. It was only really popular amongst the *nix crowd and then became successful some years later on Windows/Mac.
Very doubtful given not everyone has bandwidth to spare or may not even have Internet. Physical media will be around for a while more even though on PC it reigns supreme via services like Steam d2d etc.
Heavy Rain...ah I love that game. One of my favorites this gen for sure.
Valve doesn't charge for DLC. Well except Xbox because afaik it's some sort of MS policy. On Steam, DLC for Valve games has ALWAYS been free and now PS3 will get the same treatment via Steamworks. And why not put it on the disk you ask? Because the game is already complete and being stamped as we speak so that is not a possibility.
FIFA 11 was quite good. Hope they bring something new to the table.
I've always wanted an App store of sorts on the consoles. Would be awesome to download apps like on mobiles but designed with consoles in mind of course. I'd probably actually be quite interested in getting in on something like that. I have a couple apps in the Android market. Depends on the cost really.
Marvel vs capcom isn't on PC? And yes PC gaming is changing and is getting worse IMO. I preferred the PC games years ago when PC games were actually designed with PC's in mind unlike today (mostly).
Mk9 and portal 2 for me. I just have to figure out which to play first.
Anon is more of an attention whore than geohot.
Drink virtual piss ftw
Any mgs game is a day 1
Upgradeable consoles would create a divide like in the PC world of gaming. May as well just become a PC gamer if you want upgradeable consoles. Consoles are popular for a variety of reasons and one is because everyone gets the same experience as the next person. This is also easier on developers as they don't have to account for various factors e.g. different graphic cards, RAM etc.
