You cannot judge a game to be triple A based purely on its development budget, the gaming community decide if a game is triple A. For example SW: ToR.
I'm a parent and a gamer and we will not be getting a xbox one.
I will by a xbox, the first one, if I see one in a garage sale cause that was a decent console.
The casuals have already chosen tablets and smart phones for their 'gaming'.
How is the Vita tanking? Sony runs a marathon with their gaming devices, not a sprint.

Publishers must hate me. I never pay price for new games. I will wait 6 months, a year, or whenever till the price drops to $20-$30 or grab it on sale.
Its not that I can't afford new games I just think they are way overpriced. I will pay full price for a nice long RPG but as I don't play online $60 for a 10 hour single player campaign is a rip off.
I may have to break this rule for Last of Us but then I have a huge backlog of games to get through so...

Wow charging to watch a movie at home per person. Ridiculous if ever implemented. These corporations need to let go of there old price gouging business models, especially movie studios, or they are going to get lose more and more money.
I don't get this focus on the family living room. There is no more family living room. With a pvr with multiple receivers pretty much anyone in our house can watch what they want when the want where they want. My kids don't want to watch 'madmen' and I sure as hell don't want to watch 'shake it up'. We will watch a movie together once in a while but that is one of the few times we all sit together.
There is nothing on the new box the appeals to me ...

if you find a cable box remote confusing then the Xbox one is certainly for you.
This central entertainment hub approach is an antiquated notion., families don't sit and watch TV together, they may watch a movie together once in a while but pretty much everyone had access to their own screen to watch what they want. Even my 3 year old can work netlixs on the wii.
People watch tv with smart phones in hand and tablets on laps for all their social...
