Yes they made fun of games being 30fps simply to make it more cinematic and are now accepting 30fps as being a design choice.
Both are gibberish reasons.
Again the “outrage” was direct response to the flip flopping over frame rate from a certain fan base.
Spent an entire generation poking fun at 30fps cinematic games only to gladly accept that when the worlds most powerful console had to go there.
Despite performance mode needing work
Square still managed a mode that’s “as close to flawless as we’ve seen in a long time”- Digital Foundry.
At least the options there if folks wan...
The Xbox guy hard on for 30 fps is comical at this point, it was you guys that made a massive song and dance about frame rate being king last gen, boasted about how many games the SX supported at 120fps.
That’s why you were getting teased over Star Field.
Show what true colours, the reception is overwhelmingly positive, nit picking one of only 7 mixed reviews doesn’t erase the 93 positive.

It’s a critical hit, peeps looking forward to it are delighted.
Go pick another 10/10 review, there’s a few to choose from.
Didn’t you look stupid enough saying that the first time.
@senor
Nah, he isn’t, he’s trying to paint a false picture.

Mixed ?
You fight the good fight.
Xbox guys are just acting dumb as usual, if Sony acquired Take-Two and took away GTA, Red Dead etc, that would be wrong.
Wait what. It’s took them 3 years to divulge this information, nobody said this when the consoles were announced.
If this is actually true and not just damage control as to why the S appears to be holding the X back, then they’ve duped their entire fan base.
Not a single Xbox guy was saying this before the consoles launched, the S was the budget friendly next gen choice, not the main one.
Every single one of you know that’s true.
This is also basically an admission that the S is holding things back.
Well actually no they don’t tbh, they do however need GP subscriptions to skyrocket to similar or greater numbers than the competitors consoles.
For example if Sony or Nintendo don’t sell consoles and games then they don’t make enough money and the games will suffer.
Same concept with GP subscriptions.
Key word being “almost”
On another note, those fighting tooth and nail about being so certain that all the marketing speak and analysis are 100% true in regards to the games console performance should probably pump the brakes slightly.
There’s at least a good chance PC players with a PC of similar spec to a SX will get the game running rather well at 60fps.
It’s a situation that could make you and all the outlets look silly.
Yeah sorry, but no.
The flip flopping, backtracking and flat out gibberish about why the game is 30fps on consoles has been amusing, however this article is definitely nonsense.
It looks better almost across the board in the 2023 shots.
That’s an odd thing to celebrate.
There’s already more PS5 consoles sold than MS has GP subscribers, it’s comments like yours that gets you Xbox guys constantly teased.
Literally false.
The same points still stand, being better prepared may help, it doesn’t make the problems just go away.
Games look and perform better when the previous gen stops being catered for, always have, always will.
The series s isn’t last gen, but it’s still seriously underpowered next to it’s big brother and PC counterparts.
No not the 30fps on its own, the reason behind it, to make it more cinematic and now accepting another poor reason, being a design choice.
