It seems apparent that in the previous generations they were more bothered by the size of people's existing TV cabinets so they started with the box size (VHS video recorder) so the hardware power was then limited by the amount of heat they could efficiently dissipate...... however this generation the principle was to begin with the most powerful Soc that was available at the design stage, but then build a box (regardless of its size) that could adequately dissipate the heat. Was super stoked to pledge to the original Kickstarter, however I always wonder how much they would have recieved in crowdfunding if they had been honest back then and said 'look guys, we're building a game, it'll be ready in about 7 years time, and their isn't a pc currently available that is capable of running the release build even at low settings'....

I'm not going to pretend I own a PS5, I don't. So my comments would probably by soaked in sarcasm anyway. However without being kneejerk, what I will concede is that the thing has been in the wild for less than a week, there's nothing wrong with it.
