This has to be part of a bundle. Arcade Xbox drops to $150, and Arcade+Natal for $200. That's my guess.
I've played both. Trust me, these comparisons will stop when the public gets their hands on Alan Wake. It really isn't that great graphically. It's a great story and creepy environment, but the level of detail in the object models are very poor.
People who will still claim AW is better are either:
1) Trolls
2) People who have never played UC2
3) Both
No worries, I just legally changed my name to Jayden. Now noone will think I'm over 14.
ummm. My name is Scott, and I'm 35 (seriously).
Now I'm scared for my life.
N4G, either bring back the open zone or start banning these people.
You can't expect games to sell well every month of the year. It's springtime, summer is close, E3 is close, people have other stuff to do and buy.
clock problem fixed itself in less than 24 hours.
No dead hardware, no replacements needed, no money needed to fix it, no law suits, no extended warranties needed.
yes, it was minor.
OK, let's say 10,000 people buy the game, that $100,000 they pay to play online ($10 a person).
If all those people keep the game, there are 10,000 people playing online.
If all those people sell their game to someone else, there are still only 10,000 playing online, but now EA has another $100,000.
How is this justified? There aren't 10,000 MORE people, just a different set of 10,000 people.
Halo Killers:
Time
Halo Developers
Halo Fans
Those are the only three things that can affect Halo.
I liked Heavy Rain, but it was too short and too odd to win GOTY. Probably could get some best Graphics or Most Original kind of awards, but not overall GOTY.
Off the top of my head, and making guessing at quality of unreleased games:
Games with a chance:
RDR
ME2
GOWIII
GT5
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Halo Reach
Games with no chance:
Heavy Rain
Alan Wake
FF XIII
Splinter Cell: Conviction
Mass Effect 2 was a single player game, so I'm guessing sales were greatly affected by pirating.
There are a LOT of banned console out there that people use for offline single player games.
Not even the same thing.
Replacing a device because 30% of them having hardware failures, is nothing like people buying something for one of its intended uses.
Tone down the floaty jumping please, and the game will be near perfect.
Also Sony, if you want to be innovators, how about either creating an editor for PCs/Macs, or allow USB keyboards and Mice to be used on the PS3 for editing. This goes for ModNation Racers too. A game controller just isn't meant for editing.
I just got ODST at Blockbuster (used) for $25.
They were also almost giving away some REALLY crappy 360/PS3/Wii games, 2 for $5. I couldn't even find ones that were worth the $2.50 each.
Where do you think the pirated version came from? You think it fell from the sky? There had to be an original retail copy at some point.
Legally, pirating is worse than renting or borrowing.
But, to the developers, it makes no difference if you borrow your friend's game or copy your friend's game, they make $0 in both cases.
Is it me, or does Alan never watch where he's going. He's always looking to the side when he walks.
Sorry to be off topic, but can anyone explain why it's ok to play your friend's game, but not play a copy of your friend's game?
either way, 1 person paid, 2 people played.
Besides the technical legal argument, would it really make ANY difference in this situation?
"MS is all but finished"
No, but I would say that Xbox 360 over the hill. But it will have a lasting stay, the same way the PS2 has had.
The PS3 I think is still climbing, so It's hard to tell what it's going to do.
The Wii has flatlined, it's not getting any better, but it's not going anywhere either.
