don't start a game list war. There are fanboys on both sides waiting to copy/paste their standard list of games when these discussions start.
I remember MANY Xbox fans on this site last year after Natal was announced saying how great it going to be playing FPS with it. Hiding behind the couch for cover, pretending to throw a grenade, being able to scan in a replica (or maybe even real) gun to be used in game.
Maybe not you, but I read a lot of comments about how this was going to change everything. Those people are either still in denial or very disappointed and angry.

A Sony Vaio can run those games. I can play Mass Effect on Sony Hardware. PC+XBOX absolutely NOT an exclusive.

These games were the best looking at the time they were released. Maybe some games released after them looked better.
They were released on Nintendo's first 3 main consoles and are games that everyone thinks of when they list both best games for that console and best games ever. Do you think Twilight Princess will be remembered so well?

2) You can not begin to claim I'm not a fan. I've played and finished every Zelda game made spanning 20 of the 35 years I've been alive.

It's not just the graphics. It's also missing a real online network, mass storage (hard drive) and multimedia capabilities.

My best guess would be that this is for people who have a 360 that is nowhere near the front of the TV.
For example, people with projectors.
The xbox can be in the back of the room hooked to projector, while the Kinect can be up by the screen, and the two talk via wifi.
I have it installed. I played Borderlands, and I really couldn't tell it wasn't playing on my machine. I'm was using an iMac with a somewhat crappy video card.

You actually do shoot stuff in AW. It's the main game play mechanic.
Still, it's not the same feeling as a normal "shooter" FP or TP.

Red Sox and Yankees actually play each other on a field, their entire existence is based on playing other teams. They entertain BY COMPETING. ROOTING for the team IS THE ENTERTAINMENT.
Consoles exist to entertain people BY PROVIDING GAMES. There is no reason you can't "root" for both consoles to provide great games.
The point is still that the arcade internal storage is going to have a huge chunk taken out of it for kinect drivers/software.
I guess that's what you get for buying the cheap model. I have an arcade, but I also have the hard drive from my first (broken) xbox. So I'm good to go.
