Because in a year they will come out with a revision that is cheaper, lighter, longer battery life, etc....
Plus it will have some good games by then.
I kind of agree with the graphics score only because of how hyped the graphics were. We heard for years that this was supposed to be the best looking thing ever. But it turned out to be a 540p blur-fest. The atmosphere is GREAT, but the actual models & attention to detail where pretty average.
Here's an example:

"This game that has aspects of both Fallout and Borderlands, looks very good. Rage is a first person shooter, with RPG elements"
http://www.ps3blog.net/2011...
"That Rage would be set in an open, post-apocalyptic world was something we already knew, but now it looks like there'll be an extensive RPG system"

Bioshock had the suspense element and the plasmids game mechanic that made it stand out.
It's not so much about the length, it is what that length means for the hopes of an open world game.
If it's going to be a awesome FPS, then that's good for FPS fans. People that were hoping for an RPGish game are probably not going to be satisfied.
"It's not an rpg and it's not an open world based game like FO3"
That's why people are complaining. There were a lot of non-shooter fans that were getting excited for this game, and it's starting to look like another "plain" shooter. Needs some RPG or open world elements or some kind of new gameplay mechanic (Bulletstorm, for example) to make it standout.
COD/FPS fans:
"Wow! Three times longer than usual, I hope multiplayer is good"
RPG/Action fans:
"WTF. I thought this was a RPG, open world game. 15 hours is just getting into it"
I'm more with the RPG people. It's starting to look like another by the numbers shooter (with awesome visuals). I was excited when we thought it would be a fallout/borderlands kind of game.
It's even more lame to take the time to rate down every unboxing video and write a little article about how you don't like these types of videos.
How about you just don't watch them and get on with your life.
I know the home/live/wii avatars are cheesy, but it makes it personal.
When I see my friends list on xbox, I see cartoon versions of them. It's like our own little cartoon show.
When I see my friends list on PS3, I see pac-man, 3 nathan drakes, sack boy and an 8 ball. dumb.
Xbox needs:
- No Live Gold required for Netflix
(Seriously, nearly every DVD/Blue-ray Player, Console, Streaming device does Netflix and Xbox is the only one that requires a separate fee to access it) I have an extra xbox in my basement, I would like to use it to stream Netflix, but I'd have to buy ANOTHER Live Gold account (but still only 1 Netflix account)
- Better UPnP
PS3 supports more video formats than Xbox. I don't use Windows ...
I don't think other nouns use the same rule as "ITS"
Its = Possessive
It's = It Is
I think most other nouns can use the apostrophe for either.
Sony's = Possessive
Sony's = Sony Is
That maybe the most useless article ever.
Here's the whole article:
"PS3 has [LIST OF FEATURES], I wonder what PS4 will have"
How are they going to know how to control the menu to get to the manual?
I know that sounds stupid, but for 0.0001% of the people this could be an issue, and I'm sure game companies will have to at least put some paper in there that explains how to access the manual in game. Maybe on the back cover?
The online guide to the game using your smart phone.
I think they are probably more worried about bootlegging games then cheaters online.
I just find the double-standard funny.
If MS finds a bootleg game on your xbox, you're instantly banned.
But as soon as you insert a CD into MS Windows, it asks you to bootleg it.
Ok, he's dumb as sh1t for releasing the root keys, but where's the witch hunt for the other system hacks?
Why can I still get Wii, DS, Xbox, PSP hacks online?
How about every time I put a music CD in my PC/Mac, the first thing it asks me to do is to rip it to the hard drive. Could you imagine if the xbox let you copy the game to the hard drive then didn't require you to have the disk to play the game?
I know many people who were never into gaming that sit around and play online FPSs only. They don't even touch the campaign for those games.
In a couple of years, when they tire of playing online FPSs, they will move onto something else, not video game related (horseshoes maybe?).
This generation will be defined by these "fad" gamers.

I wonder how GeoHot feels now that Sony has pretty much fixed the security, but he still has to deal with the legal problems.
"People can't hack the console anymore AND I might have to go to jail, wow that was worth it!" - GeoHot
I don't see it's (possible) failure as a threat to new IPs.
I see it as a reaction to an over saturated shooter market.
I'm sure that's what people said after DS Lite too. Now there's DSi and DSiXL and 3DS......
There are plenty of things they could add.
Cheaper Components
Better Battery
Bluetooth
GPS
Slide-out Keyboard
Another analog stick
Flash for the camera
They will think of something and have 3DS 2.0 next year.
