One of the best writers in the industry in general. There aren't too many games that have stories that rival Planescape Torment in terms of writing. Also now that he's freelance he's branching out beyond just writing RPGs games.
Hopefully, it's Persona 5 Royal for the Switch. We'll find out soon!

Octopath is wonderful for the most part. It reminds me of FFVI and the Saga games.
Tabata gets so much unnecessary hate for how FFXV turned out. It wasn't entirely his fault. The blame falls on Nomura and the higher ups.
Most fans don't get that blame. Tabata did what he could within three years. The blame should only fall on the higher ups at Square and Nomura.
People overlook FF XIV due to it being a mom, but it contains the same charm as older entries (more so than FFVII) and let's not forget how charming FFIX was. The franchise could go back to that if Square stopped relaying on Production Team 2 and Nomura handling the art.

Missing the entire point. There's a difference in calling out a bad product, or pointing out bad policies from game companies (as well as not supporting that project). But people tend to take it too far like the whole thing about CyberPunk 2077 being in first person. Let's not for forget fans threatening developers, publishers and gamers alike because they don't like something.
