That's cool. What they added to the Switch version wasn't a big deal or anything, but it's nice to see them update the game for PlayStation owners who supported them early on and gave it so much good word of mouth.
I mean, Ubisoft has always been family owned. And this isn't the first time people have tried to buy them out, and they always buy back shares to maintain ownership, which is what they did again recently.
I'm not going to make a really long comment or harp on it. But ya know, a lot of people really act like Phil is the savior of xbox. But the reason xbox still is struggling with games is because Phil at one point decided xbox only needed third parties.
And the truth most likely is that all the games they started from the new studios like Hellblade and Avowed which didn't really start development until 2020-20201 won't be out before 2024 or 2025+ because games t...
The complaints about GT were never about its quality, it's one of the best racing games out there. The only real problem it had was the cost of some cars, which has already been fixed with increased rewards in game. Unlike Halo which the biggest complaint is its quality and still has unrewarding gameplay and unpopular monetization.
No, I don't think it has anything to do with the sustainability of anything, their franchises are selling 10-20+ million units. Their gaming division is very profitable.
What Sony wants is their own Fortnite, they looked at the success of those games on their service, and things like Rocket League and Fall guys which basically launched on their console, and they are trying to replicate that.
Just because they ate looking into making some GaaS games ...
GTA was 20 years ago, DMC has been a Sony franchise, and it's been on xbox since the 360. Shenmue was a Dreamcast game that Microsoft paid to have the second game exclusive, and the third game wasn't even going to happen until Sony worked to bring it back, and it had a multi-platform release. Yakuza was offered to Microsoft, and they turned it down because it was too "Japanese". Look it up. Persona has been a Sony...
Yea, that article trying to defend the cheapening of games on services by trying to play up episodic content was terrible. It's honestly kind of sad that people would want to push gaming in that direction.
Yea, but all those stats about players and time played doesn't actually translate into money. It's just a bullet point in a spreadsheet.
The only thing that you listed that might generate profit is microtransactions, and personally, I find it very hard to believe that people using a game rental service are buying a lot of microtransactions for games they don't own.
Microsoft can't subsidize game pass forever. Look at a chronological list of game pass releases, you can clearly see especially this year there has been less total games and far less AAA games than in year past, especially the first few years.
You can already see they are trying to bring costs in line with revenue.
I don't know how they think they are going to support development for all these new studios and their games long term. Especially w...
Yea, all you need to do is buy the Microsoft authorized proprietary Blu-ray drive they conveniently didn't include with the console you bought for 3x the cost of the parts like proprietary SSD.

"oh someone said something bad about my console and now the other console has something wrong with it so now I'm going to talk shit"
The way it's handled by the media and websites is not the same for both companies.
Just look at articles about Vita from the bigger sites, who all covered it almost instantly. When Sony had a small issue with around 5 games they acted like it was a huge issue or some big conspiracy and Sony was about to close down the Vita store they weren't going to fix it blah blah blah.
Meanwhile, xbox has a huge issue but very few larger sites even covered it ...
When Vita recently had like 5 games that people couldn't download due to a bug there was probably a hundred articles about it. This issue with Microsoft where people can't use their whole digital library including game pass downloads there is almost no coverage of it. And the sites they do cover it like IGN downplay it like it's no big deal.
Ya know what's funny, is Microsoft went on Twitter to say this was fixed when it 100% wasn't. Then they bot liked all the people who were like "we love you xbox have my baby" and deleted all the negative comments so when anyone goes to the thread all they see is it's fixed and b.s. comments. You have to scroll down a ways before you see all the comments that say it's still not fixed.
But guys, remember Microsoft does not manipulate the press or m...
