I say some negative things about Microsoft, but not nearly as aggressively as you. And I don't see how me saying good things about Sony should be a problem for anyone. I think the fact that me saying something positive about Sony bothering you says more about you than anything else.
If you look at my comments, I rarely go into articles that are positive about Microsoft just to spew hate. Look deeper you'll see that primarily I am commenting on the articles which ...
EA Play does not release games day one, either. But ya know, continue with your usual attempt at word play by trying to twist the meaning of "classic" into an overly negative definition.
And Assassin's Creed Valhalla is the latest game from Ubisoft in the series, so there is every reason to assume they will continue to add their the latest games to the service as time goes on.
No one "hates game pass" but a lot of people worry that game pass's focus on day one games is bad for the industry because subscriptions don't provide the level of revenue needed to maintain the kind of big budget AAA gaming people have come to appreciate from the traditional sales model. And we also don't want games to be forced to all be GaaS with MTX or episodic BS or just games with small budgets.
I have said this before, but look how few big pub...
See, you just proved your only goal was to troll and that you have no idea what you're even talking about. You tried to say this, "I'll be happy when I can go to the storefront and outright just buy the games I want."
Then when pointed out that Sony is in fact giving people who own games free copies, and I'm sure will offer them for sale, you still complain. Let me remind you that every single PS2 game that was on PS...
You're not fooling anyone, we all know that no matter what Sony does your going to make some kind of comment like this.
Sony has the most games and the cheapest price and yes more games will be added over time, heck they just started a whole new preservation team.
The fact is it's not that the service isn't excellent, it is, in both the games offered and the value. The problem is you and your expectations. Though that's probably not true ...
First off this is only a partial list of highlights, second I think Nintendo is pretty happy being the best-selling device month after month.
Some of you can't understand the idea that for Sony and Nintendo, services are secondary to everything else. Sony and Nintendo aren't trying to copy game pass regardless of what Bloomberg said. Sony and Nintendo sell millions of copies of their games, that is their priority, not shoveling games onto a service.
LoL, So, unless they have every single game or it's not a good deal eh? They can't add those games later to entice new customers? You know it'll have ongoing updates, right?
As for third party support, they have shown they have games from pretty much every major publisher, and this is only a small fraction of the list of total games. And again, keep in mind this is a service which will get new games monthly.
Traditional game sales are far more profitable for developers and publishers than what they get from selling games on services. That's why the VAST majority of devs and publishers are not putting their games on services day one.
The problem here for you is you assume that just because Microsoft does it that it must be working, meanwhile look how few third party AAA games have been on game pass recently. You don't see many publishers rushing to get their games on ga...
Yes, and plenty of devs have said the same as this article. You shouldn't assume that game pass works for every dev or even the majority.
Again Sony isn't chasing game pass, that's your projection, they have clearly stated time and time again they want to continue with the traditional model and have services be a secondary revenue stream.
Have you ever considered that you might not be a PlayStation fan at all?
Well that's a shame, too bad you didn't support them and didn't get the benefit of that support in years worth of free premium. Meanwhile, I look forward to playing the larger selection of games, including added PS5 support, and checking out demos of games I am interested in.
Luckily, I can have just as much fun playing a game after it's release as day one, it's the first time for me day one or few months later. And since I buy games and support deve...
Again, the article says the opposite of what you're saying, and they aren't the first developer to bring up these issues either.
And PS+ was the first major gaming subscription. Microsoft has been trying to copy PlayStation's success for years. I don't think Sony is pushing for content subscriptions any more than they ever have. They have been pretty clear they want to keep selling games at retail and online.
And give it time, we have already seen game pass adding less and less AAA games, presumably to bring costs in line with revenue. Just wait until game pass is out of its honeymoon phase and Microsoft starts making games that fit the budget.
And with no games released so far this year and no games with a release date this year, I don't think review scores are the biggest issue for game pass at the moment.
