I do miss the old days where we got playable demos of everything though!"
Cool, I'm glad I got 5 years of PS+ Premium because I had PSNow for a few more months from buying a year on sale last year. I'm sure you have it too since you're a big PlayStation fan also. If not, you should get PS+ Premium too and get demos of games like this.
"The load times improvements this generation are great - the only downside being the tiny space on the consoles."
Luckily, PS5 has two independent forms of compression, that help many games to be as much as 25% smaller than the competition and still load significantly faster. And since PS5 uses a true M.2 port, you can buy a 2tb SSD for around the same price as the competition's 1tb proprietary SSD.
Ya know, until every game has to have MTX or be short episodic content, or it's buggy and unfinished because it was just game pass filler. Games take money to make, getting pennies per unit may well destroy the industry.
As a person who games as a hobby, I am more interested in quality than paying the absolute lowest possible price. I'm not interested in dollar store gaming.
"Sucks that the guys game didn’t perform well, but alienating a huge user base like Xbox probably isn’t the best way to boost future sales on the platform."
If it was so great for them, they wouldn't be skipping it... I mean, the article is explaining that they didn't benefit from being on GamePass in fact the opposite, they made less because it was on game pass. So, I don't think they care about future games on game pass.
It's not clickbait at all, it's an accurate summary of the topic of the interview.
Heck, what the dev says isn't even suprising, we all saw this coming, you can expect to see more devs say the same things in the future as more and more devs have the same problems.
This is a discussion about how xbox users aren't buying games because they just wait for them to be on game pass and how game pass doesn't provide enough money to pay for development.
I don't know, here's some quotes, it doesn't seem like things went well for them on xbox.
"Plus, the numbers didn’t lie. Furi on Xbox was selling “less and less,” and according to Leprince, and were under “a third” of sales on Switch"
"Compounding the issue was an inability to secure future promotions for Furi on Xbox’s storefront for increased awareness, and Haven “didn’t sell at all” on Xbox, outside of its Game Pass partnersh...
Yea, it's great that PS+ will have Bloobers games now, especially if they are going to be making a Silent Hill game, that'll be a pretty good draw for the new service, especially now that it will have PS5 games.
It might be a long wait, but a new Sony published Bloober Team Silent Hill game is great news, and if it's good I'll buy it and support the developers.
BTW, it's interesting either way that Bloober chose to work with Sony and not Microsoft here. Perhaps Bloober wasn't happy with their arrangement with Microsoft, and getting to work on a Sony published Silent Hill game, pretty cool stuff for them and Sony.
They could easily make the game, then have an agreement to put it on PS+ sometime in the future. It would be silly for Sony to publish Bloobers new Silent Hill game, then not have an agreement for it to come to PS+ exclusivly.
I also believe there is a new Silent Hill being made, and I can't wait to play it on PS+ if I don't buy it to support the developers.
It says selected titles, it doesn't say anything about which titles or who is publishing them. They could easily be putting future Bloober games published by Sony or Bloober or even Konami or anyone else for that matter.
