@shadow. The naysayers are just upset that they still don't have one on their console after being lied to that they were getting one too.
Yeah. Very true.... Say what ever happened to halo recruit vr?

"the violence inherent in the system". I like the monty python reference. Made me chuckle
Sorry but I don't agree with a discless system. An all digital future, whilst a nice idea, would hurt sales due to people's data caps and in some places, sketchy connection to the web, plus the fact it would be a DRM future. So if connection goes down, who's to say you'll be able play any of your titles. Also, ATM, I am able to find physical version's of new games cheaper than the PS store prices.
Tried it myself yesterday. Considering buying it today. Like you said Shad, a very good way to advertise the game without actually trying a gameplay demo.
It felt fresh and unique and imo gave a far better impression of what to expect from setting to story than a, written news review
The biggest problem with subscription services will be when ever dev has their own sub for you to sign up to. Were already seeing them setting these up. Imagine when your paying for xb gp, EA origin, ubi play, Bethesda net etc etc, every month at let's say £5.99 per service per month. The cost to us the gamer, will spiral out of control. Eventually you'll have to decide which service and what games you want to be able to play for that month.
If you don't believe tha...

"If 5 studios acquisitions don't give you a hint that they are improving their first party lineup then I don't know what will."
Yes, acquiring 5 studios has certainly improved their current image. However, we aren't likely to see anything from those studios for at least another 3-5 years, and even then, there is no guarantee whatsoever that they will be system selling titles or even good games. Far too early to be blowing the MS trumpet...
Can't wait to get a look at some the upcoming game from Bethesda like Rage 2 and Wolfenstein cyberpilot VR. As well as a Q&A about FO76
They will most likely put a limit cap on your levelling in FO76 just like they do in most other MP beta tests that I've taken part in.
What a great story. And congratulations to the little 7yr old girl for making it to 10th place on steam. Hopefully one day she can make that adventure game that she wants to.
The way things are going with these digital sub services and the way some manufacturers are talking about a stream box only console, £40 a month just to play your games alone is inevitable sadly.
This is why I don't support a digital only future
It's a nice looking machine, with some nice specs to it........ Shame it will likely never see light of day over here in the West.
A collection of smaller titles that I have considered getting for time to time. This pack will now be a must for me
@Shadow
I do hope 6.0 adds some interesting stuff like a special VR UI for those that have the headset. Instead of the flat UI we see for regular games. A VR room that you can customize. And maybe more added voice control features as a start.
That is an absolutely brilliant idea mate. Whilst I can navigate around OK'Ish when using the move controllers, a fully dedicated VR desktop/room would really help improve the experience for users. Maybe something akin to ...
ordered my copy of this....... hurry up amazon lol
should add Star Trek bridge crew to that list as well m8
Can finally relive my childhood...... By that I mean being locked in my bedroom playing games all day 😂
Agree with you on that
@jack
Yes ps+ does lock you out of free games. MS gamepass will lock you out of downloaded content till you re-sub. MS are moving all their new releases onto GP.
With a digital only console, do you really believe MS will keep on letti g you buy games individually? No.
They will slowly phase that out and leave us with little to no choice but to keep paying a sub every month to access the games.
That is and always has been MS end goal.
Guess you've never had a PS+ sub run out on you? Content is locked till you re-subcribe to it. I'm guessing the same is true with gamepass. Give that some thought before we are forced buy digital only consoles
Sony have done an amazing job of finally get vr into the home. This is something that I had hoped ever since trying out a Virtual-ality headset in an arcade up London back in the 90's. Whilst still very tech for the home user, its shown that it is sticking around for the long haul. 3 million units is an impressive number so far.
