This is exactly what some of us were trying to warn everyone else, years ago. It was always going to end up having a negative effect on the gaming market with quality and quantity effected and sales much lower.
Now that Raphaël Colantonio is out of contract with MS, I'm glad to see that the some devs were thinking the same way

My son gifted me a Xbox 1X (bf5 edition) just over a year ago. And that's been a far better value option than the XB series S.
I saw an article only the other day about how the MS bosses, "pay performance bonus", no longer includes figures for game pass in it.
Now, they are omitting figures from within the company, for bonuses, then why would we believe them now?
Is that confirmed? Or just speculation? I ask because packing a spare plate inside every ps5 pro thats sold seems like a cost which Sony may not want pay out for. Not when they can pack the plate with the disk drive when people buy the part and save costs.
So if I purchase a disk drive add on, will the plate for that piece fit on the pro model? Or do I need to buy a complete set?

The problem will be, when they remove the OG version from the store, eventually they will also remove it from your library too. Forcing you to purchase the remaster version instead, should you choose to replay the OG again.
