Maybe they weren't sure if it was going to be ready in time? Would be weird to not announce it before preorders went live otherwise.
So you've not picked up on the feeling that other people love it even though you don't rate it as highly?
You've not played Days Gone have you? I'm not sure you've even played Infamous, Forspoken, or the Last Of Us to be honest.
Okay fair enough. All I can say is that I think it looks stunning on my TV.
If there has been a downgrade there's a good reason for it. The reveal would have been from a very early build and there would have been so much more they would need to add in which may have caused performance issues. They don't do it on purpose. From the build they had in the reveal it's impossible to tell what the final build would end up as.
Also remember this is no...
There's something wrong with your setup if Forespoken didn't look good.
I really enjoyed it. Looks like there's a lot of depth there. Problem is that it gives you loads of spells etc. right off from the start, whereas I imagine there will be steadier progression in the full game. It looks absolutely stunning. I hope there's a variety of biomes in the game as well.
Never really looked into the game before but playing the demo has made me a lot more interested. Not saying I'm definitely going to buy it, but will be keeping a close eye on it for...
Convoluted upgrade path? Most cross-gen games were simple free upgrades, anything that was convoluted was down to the devs/publishers such as Activision with CoD.
This is not a cross-gen title is it? It was released as a PSVR 1 title and designed for that. You need to understand that developers like this work hard and there's no reason why they should do extra work for free. Polyarc aren't big enough to put this down to corporate greed.
@jznrpg agreed, but I don't think Polyarc would have the ability to do this necessarily unless Sony funded it.
I think the devs would probably need extra support from Sony to make it a free upgrade as there looks to be a lot of work go into it. Can't underestimate the amount of work required for the change in tracking technology, but then it's on Oculus so most of the work is presumably done already. Eye tracking/haptics use sounds great though.
Incredible month. Didn't know what Divine Knockout was, but it looks potentially great fun, a 3D Smash Bros.
The PS5 is an upgraded PS4, I'm not sure what miracles people would be expecting if it was PS5 only. It looks nicer and has a higher framerate on PS5, the things that people are picking out are negligible.
It's more of an upgrade for PS4/Xbox, not surprising that it's only slightly better on a high spec PC as it already looked beautiful.
With Final Fantasy 16 I think it's been clearly missed that the area it's set is supposed to be an isolated island, and they said it's related to the story. This suggests that maybe there's a reveal of different cultures etc. later in the game that they don't want to reveal now before the release. Time will tell, it may just be a poor excuse.
Oooops. Someone didn't get an early review copy.
I can effectively play a new £70 game for £5-£10 if I complete it quickly enough and sell it, so I don't care if most of the game isn't on the disc.
I think to announce it this early means it's going to be a decent size game, the previous promo was terrible.
Never looks as good without the headset on, but I think it makes sense for them to make it work on as many headsets as possible with something like this anyway.
PSVR 1 with controller and camera launched at $499 or £450. So it's not really a huge increase considering how much more advanced the technology is.
Remember the first PSVR launched at $499. It's not a massive increase.
And I presume every down vote is also thinking this way.
