Xbox 1x isn't elite in anyway. It's more like a jack of all trades. You neither get the best visuals/ performance, in that case pc is superior. Nor you get exclusives which you can only play on that platform because, again, you can play them on pc. In this case Switch and ps4 are superior.

Okay thanks for informing me. I had the impression that pc gamers were waiting desperately to be able to play ms games on their systems. I thought they were intrigued by xbox play anywhere and phil spencer made their biggest wish become true.

Well visuals still don't look amazing imo BUT still it's positive that 1) it's a new ms ip and 2) it looks like it could be fun. And especially the latter outweighs the graphics.

Hype was never huge to begin with. This is a machine target mainly for the loyalists who aren't bothered by ms' way of handeling xbox.
I would rather sony to wait until ps5 can be released with noticeable better hardware at a affordable price. For example from last gen to current gen the jump in ram size was from 512mb to 8gb.
X's specs are next gen but ms games are last gen. They should start with these articles when 1x's games start looking next gen.
No they wouldn't have been better off, the would be even more irelevant than they are now.
And btw i don't think the doing much worse than last gen. This gen they hadn't had the headstart and the built in sales inflator mode the x360 had aka rrod. These things created the illusion that the xbox brand was more important than it were in reality.

Bigpappy but selling 25 million wii u with barely any third party support shows that exclusives do matter. Same will be the case with switch because of its limited specs in comparison to x1 and ps4.
Even if the exclusive games would only caused 10-20million console, it's still a lot. I bet ms would be happy if there noexclusivebox one would have sold 10-20 million unit more.

It may be the dominant console for a few months in former xbox territories, but on a worldwide scale it will still have no dent against the ps4 behemoth. And as soon as the ones who want to upgrade from x1(s) have done so, sales will drop underground again. But i don't think this will last 6 months at all. The ones who already made up their mind to buy x1x will buy on or shortly after launch. And with no vast difference in visuals in 99% of the games the masse...
