@El Jugador
It is not so much that they do not sell its that Xbox Games sell much more. With that said Sony's best selling game GT5 has yet to come out. It is the only game in the industry that can meet Halo Numbers. (Exclusive wise.)
PS3 games don't have that uber sales spike day one. I was still under the impression LBP was only at 1.5 million still. Over time they sell though, people only look at week one sales then it drops from the news.
Though game...
FYI so you know GI is and advert run Mag, Review scores 90% of the time are a reflection of how much $$$ the company puts in to advertising in the Mag itself. It is the same way for many sites, games that get high scores most of the time have adds for that game all over the place. Not saying the reviews are not good in them self just the score they give and what they say in the review don't match up very well at times.
Yes and no, the PSP and DS might as well be black and white. Both target very different markets. Its stupid that they get compared honestly. Its like comparing a toy dart gun to an M16. Also it would not surprise me if the PSP2 has 3D support. Which would be cool and it fits with Sony's current PR talk.
The PSP GO was a test model to see how well an all digital system would do. Nothing more.
My educated guess would be is the PSP UMD will be phased out slowly same with the PSPs and the GO will become the main PSP when the PSP2 comes out. By then (PSP2 more or less would come out Spring of next year is my guess.) we will have most of the best PSP games on the PSN. I am sure the PSP2 will be all digital as it should.
I think the PSP2 is really going to impress people...
The main thing that is nice about it is that 3D is getting support much faster then most new kinds of Tech. Also movies and even every day broadcasts from CBS and other will have 3D soon, So getting a new TV is not just for games, but all kind of media. Guess we will see how it pans out in the long run. Give it a year or so and 3D will be standard in all TVs so you will get it even if you do not want it.
That and not everyone has an HD TV yet, I don't think even 60% of PS3/Xbox o...
No its not Aprils Fools this was in the new episode of Qore. LBP was also one of the games they talked about. Check it out for yourself.
That it was.
Sony never did support the other OS feature, the PS3 was originally going to ship with YDL (Yellow dog linux) ether pre-installed or on an ISO DVD. Which nether happened. You can still get linux on the PS3 just will be harder. The people who are commenting about this and getting all mad have no idea what linux is and how it works and never if ever will use it. The 'hacker' that says he wont use it for piracy is being honest, but, others will. Mods and Bittorrent where never meant to wreck gam...
Great vid, I think Sony can really bring it with the PSP2 if they do that and maybe a few other things.
They know what Walmart and Amazon sells, they can take the numbers they get from everyone else and subtract the total units shipped, NPD numbers are very accurate.
Its not that simple, graphics in any game are a hard thing to really compare. IF a game has lots of AI and physics its going to eat up a lot of the CPU and GPU for calculations. Games like GT5 have a lot of repeating textures and very very little AI so you can push more polygons on you models and even make better textures.
The other thing is art, no game artist is the same. It plays a huge part in if textures and how models look. Then if you do not have very good programmers and ...
What is ironic is Ninja Blade is made by From Software, the guys who do Armored Core and Demons Souls and I think 3D Dot Game Heroes as well.
Whats funny about this is Sony taking out the other OS to help enhance security and then we hear about this, just find it funny for whatever reason.
This just made my day, Best Monday ever. It sucks but I just laughed so hard I was almost crying. The internet is not going to let this one go anytime soon.
MS is going for price point Sony is going for 'Higher Value' honestly MS has the right idea, they have great games and a killer online which I think makes up for no blu-ray. If they get that down to $99 or even $149 its going to be very bad for Sony unless they can cut price close to the same time as well.
I like stuff like this, the more hate a game gets most of the time it just shows how popular and how great the game really is. U2 is still the game to beat lets not forget that. Until something flat out knocks it down we will see U2 hate articles.
That and the Go! High price was also ether to help balance out the PS3 Slim cost at launch or they want to see what a DD model at the price would do sales wise. And ya the PSP2 I bet will be almost exactly like the go format wise. Just with an OLED screen, second nub. Touchscreen and maybe event a tilt sensor. I mean every Phone now days has more features then the PSP and they are all cheep to do. A PSP2 is going to be a sick device i think. Being all digital from the start will be huge as we...
I think its just the PSP is outdated now, Its quite the old device if you can remember when it first came out. I understand what he is saying but the Ipod touch and phone have a huge edge in the fact they came in when touchscreens and other stuff where more common place. The Go! btw was just a test model for the PSP2, Sony is trying to decide if they want it all digital (Which it should be) or use a physical medium.
I know the game is not that amazing but they are a small Dev and putting it on PSN only is a good move, they dont have to print any box copys so even if the game sells bad they don't lose much if anything. I'd like to see more full games like this on the PSN. I have a 320G HHD for a reason.
Ya First Armored Core, then Chromehounds, then Ninja Blade, then Demon Souls now 3D Game Heros.
Wish they do a Chromehounds 2 but don't see that happening.
