You dont lose the game permanently but rather you lose the offline access to the game so once you sign back in after your vacation you can again play it, so like an online check, they are not that crazy YET to completely make you lose the game forever lol , but it seems lot of gamers are fine with this, so who knows what else Sony could pull in the future.

So glad resident evil is back to form for a while now, banger after banger since resident evil 7 so whoever is in charge of Capcom is doing something correctly. if anyone remembers the dark days of resident evil 6, the entire franchise could have been finished like prince of persia/splinter cell. game was great for its time tho, 2006 is nearly 20 years ago, after resident evil 4, this was the big third person shooter that changed the genre, even gears 5 is basically at its core the same game as 1, but campaign is not 14 hours tho lol, you can breeze through it in 5-6 hours.
