It mostly depends on the type of gamer u r. If ur a portable gamer U probably would say that Nintendo Is catering to u, If u consider urself a casual gamer then there is microsoft serving u kinect, But if ur a hardcore gamer that wants all types of games and the highest quality exclusives then sony has u covered better than ever next year with like 12 exclusives , not even counting move exclusives. And since I fall under The hardcore category and I presume that most if not everyone here on N4...

well gt 5 atleast gets appreciated somewhere!! Damn this game has so much content but reviewers just pick on the subtle things like menus and premium cars and damage which if they played till level 40 would be unlocked. 3d and headtracking wasnt even mentioned in any review. And had This game come with the most recent patch then the reviews itself would be so much better. watevea its an awesome game and any racing fan should play it

well the launch price of the ps2 was 299 here in the US and the ds I think was 199, maybe that made a difference? anyways there is no point comparing a handheld to a home system, but both r gr8 systems anyways so it doesnt really matter.
