Why would I want Origin to fail?
If a new grocery store opened up in my neighborhood, why would I want it to fail?
But why in the hell would I turn it on unless I have something to say?
I mean, think about it....If I'm gonna have to charge the thing, put it on and drain the batteries both short term and long term (over time batteries die), why would I want to use it just to curse some douche bag teenagers out?
If I'm gonna be using my Motorola headsets, then it damn well better be for something at least SEMI-important.

More likely Sony incentivises in other ways....
like better royalty rates on various platforms. Keep in mind EA makes more money with Sony because Sony has more than just the PS3. Some people forget that Sony still has PS2 that still sells games and PSP/VITA.
And it doesn't hurt or punish me 1 bit. Why? Because I still have Oblivion GOTY that I bought for $20 in 2009, and I still haven't finished it. And because of this, I also have FALLOUT NEW VEGAS that I bought 3 months ago for $20 that I vowed not to play until I finished Oblivion (although I did do like 2 missions).

But yeah....not having the minimap always on, it adds a level of "intense'ness" when you walk around corners and don't know what's there. Feel's almost real.

My issue has always been the MINIMAP.....I hate it.
I prefer realism in my games, and there's no such thing as an always on minimap.

Steam is MS's competitor (GFWL).
Letting Steam on there, would signal a defeat for GFWL, and would also signal that Microsoft's stronghold on Windows is dwindling.
I mean, Windows is already slowly dwindling, but it would show major weakness to admit it.
MS will never allow that.
Edit in...what we will see is probably a more deliberate merger of GFWL and XBOX 360-XBOX LIVE and/or XBOX 3.

Halo series sell more......nothing else.
In fact, excluding HALO(s), you will find the PS3 actually sells slightly better.
In sales order:
1. PS3 Gran Turismo 5 (6.4m) > Gears Of War 2 (6.1m)
2. 360 Gears Of War 1 (5.9m)> Gran Turismo 5 Prologue (5.3m)
3. PS3 Metal Gear Solid 4 (5.2m) > Forza 3 (4.9m)
4. PS3 Uncharted 2 (4.7m) > Forza 2 (4.1m)
5. PS3 Little Big P (4.4) > Fable 3...
Because outside of the Halo Series, PS3 and XBOX 360 exclusives are pretty even....in fact.....PS3 actually sells a little bit more.
So the truth is....HALO sells more than pretty much every other exclusive game on XBOX 360 or PS3.
